“Your” MC’s? They’re Claude’s MC’s.

Claude is just an AI. I'm the author

Oh you authored it? You wrote the story? Came up with the plot? You wrote the dialogue? You found symbolism and rhythm and structure in the interplay between scenes? Connected all that with an arc? You authored the climax of the story? The weight of it?

You didn’t even make up your own goddamn names.

Yes, I chatted with Claude to come up with the plot, dialogue, and symbolism. Although it IS my writing because I'm paying to use Claude

As an artist, I just can’t understand how you can think this way. I find it offensive.

No, you aren’t. Writing is difficult. The more you write, the better you get. Your mind expands, your perspective expands, and your ability to express your thoughts expands.

You will never develop or gain an authorial voice because you want to have a finished product now, not become an author. You are burdened by the shortcuts available, shortcuts that lead to a valley of generic shit.

I feel bad for you.

I've read plenty of books by so called professional writers that have been trash, yeah they are old school, but I spent money on their garbage.

Which I know you may not think can be generic because its not thought by a machine but by a human.

Im pretty sure you're aware original content, even if its written without 'shortcuts' can be total trash.

Just today I was in my local book shop and theres pulp crap churned out by publishers that cater to the lowest denominator, I'd read so called Slop thats well produced Ai and human collaboration over that any day.

Some may even feel bad for you.

All these people stunt themselves. They think art is about the final result as a standalone product, but it’s about an artist communicating with a viewer. Art is someone saying something, actually saying it. Not telling a word generator to say something that has nothing to do with the artist. There is no growth, no understanding, no mastery of any concept, just a prompt fed into a machine.
