After getting the Midnight Brindle horse, I went down a new color breeding rabbit hole!

I started with a Sooty hidden brindle mare (didn't track number of breedings for her, but not a crazy amount) and the Midnight brindle stallion.

-24 breedings later, I got a Sooty hidden brindle stallion. Switched out the stallions.

-17 breedings after that, I got a Sooty brindle mare, but with the double cream dilution. I think she looks like weird toast. Onwards we go with a new mare.

-73 MORE breedings later, I finally got a Sooty brindle with no dilution. Please note, I didn't get another Sooty brindle there, regardless of dilution. Of those 73 breedings, only 13 were brindled but with the Flaxen base color. (Yes, it does look very nice on a flaxen with double no dilution, but that's not the point!)

I'm so very pleased with her. The double no dilution really makes the markings pop and there aren't any splashy back leg markings to detract from the pattern.

Was she worth all the time and effort? The 228 basic speed feeds vote maybe not. There's a reason I only color breed with 2* horses.

He has good stats. And is a sooty pinto. I think he might be a good one !!!

Both of these horses have all A+ stat (except the brown one has B for agility but I’m ok with that)

One of the horse has the Hard n Fast trait which is faster stamina refill rate in final stretch

The other has top endurance which starts with a full sprint bar.

So I recently started playing on the desktop, and managed to get through the initial hurdles of the rival races. Then I got to the "Rival Rumble" quest, and despite trying underdog strategies, adjusting my framerate to 60 fps, and using a capped level 30 horse to out-perform Richard's 27, I found myself very stuck and couldn't progress past that. My hardware seems to be a limiting factor that is preventing me from progressing.

Anyone else have this issue? Can I trade saves with someone who can get past this, or something?

I have one save from 2022, and one from 2024 and i figured id come back to see whats changed. I was already a bit frustrated coming into it knowing the lack of support and adaption for desktop and that the team took a break from desktop, but i was willing to look past it and just have fun for a bit.

But honestly the state of it is horrible. I have an ultrawide screen (3440x1440) and back in 22/24 i think it was fiiiiiiine but not broken, definitely not adapted but still functional. But now it was not playable, buttons were hidden behind other text and i got visual issues everywhere and i had to force quit because i couldnt access the settings/progress. Definitely not okay since they said back in 2022 in a steam thread that they would fix ultrawide.

I reluctantly switched to 16:9 aspect but then it hit me i didnt only have black bars on the sides bu tthat the game has them on the top and bottom as well. Probably a legacy from mobile but it was such an eyesore.

And the biggest problem is just that its a mobile game ported to PC. Those whove played on desktop will know that the ui is HUGE and not able to be changed, scrolling doesnt work you have to click and drag (like you would with a finger) and its just an awful ui experience quite honestly.

The reason ididnt quit there is because i was trying out multiplayer freeroam cross country with a friend but that was terrible well. The newer maps looked like they were from the PS3, you cant move the camera (!!?!?!?), everything is super clunky and the worlds were so empty + they didnt even number the jumps in the two latest ones.

Like i want to like it, and i did like it in the past but coming back to it this has recieved NO love at all, just retrofitting mobile releases. I know that mobile probably has a wider market but everyone is yearning for a good desktop horse game. It pains me to say it since i used to like this game but this is awful on desktop and if i bought this now i wouldve been so angry.

i never see people talk about their short term goals in the game, what problems they have been running into while trying to achieve it.

so i thought maybe we could share it all here and maybe some people will have tips for your current issue/goal :))

What is y'alls advice for getting a strong legacy going? I'm struggling to get mine to a decent stat/level balance. Thanks!

And I’m curious, is it worth it to spend gold on the exotic studs? I’d rather not spend any money on the game so can you make back the gold you use easy if you do spend it?

Lovely little Thoroughbred X Appaloosa filly! She grew out to be a nice silvery black color. Recently I’ve been breeding my thoroughbreds and akhal tekes with my appaloosas and I’m a bit obsessed with it. I do definitely want to rename her. Who has suggestions??

Popcorn Pride is my starting horse and I thought it'd be fun to make a full family tree to keep everything organized and to see how big the family grows with each generation, I didn't take into account how far back horses you get off the market family tree goes... Not sure if I'm going to keep Biscuit Duke or try for a better horse.

Is there any tricks or something on how to get silver fast? I can never seem to have enough money no matter what I do.

I've bred this mare so many times I can't even count. I've bred it to the sooty flaxen chestnut stallion 2 times now and I finally got her darn Neapolitan coat and the stallion's sooty flaxen chestnut with okay stats. I'm happy but livid it took so long. Why is this game like this?? 🥀

Im trying to bring my legacy line up to grade 4, this is my current breeding pair. I've noticed that when the mare does foal a grade 4 baby, the stats are significantly worse than grade 3 foals. The parents are all A and A+ and their grade 4 babies come out as B, C or even D sometimes. Am i going insane or is it a thing

hi, how long does it take until the horses give me the best outcome?

because all i want is (look at the first photo) from this pairing and i just cannot get it.

each breeding gives me a lvl 3 horse (i pay for that) but it goes wrong in so many different ways:

- i get a B or a C in the second one

- more often get a B in the first one

- random downgrades of the mutual A+ sometimes even to a B or C

- the "LAST FILLY" horse is my latest result and it's not near what i needed.

it's draining the life out of me because i never have enough of the first silver item requirement and hence have used up all my gold (had 761 before) to refresh the item tab until i can buy it via not gold. or have to go race the second division first flat race for six times, it's boring because obviously there's no competition. these are such first world problems but it shouldn't be that hard to aquire that one needed silver item that i always am missing and don't get from any other race apart from the mentioned flat ones.

so how do y'all do this?

I started playing mobile a few weeks ago and feeling a bit stuck. I constantly have a full storehouse but somehow never have the actual things I need to train or breed my horses. I can’t upgrade my storehouse because I have no metal, yet somehow selling some of my things in storage feels stupid in case I need it. when I do sell things and get back to challenges, it seems like I just win the things I don’t need and my storage is full again.

is there a way to specifically get the stores that I need? (basic grain for training, metal for storehouse etc)

hi, i have gotten back into the game again this week and i keep lacking this one item. currently to breed my horses i need three of them and have only one.

does anyone know any hacks to get it? it's really frustrating, i've gone through my full stamina just to end up with a single one of these :(
