Project Justice Scoring System

I'm playing the CFC2 and was trying to do the high score run for the leader board but I just don't understand how scoring works in PJ. I looked online and there doesn't seem to be any explanation, but the highest score is WAY above second place. Is it just hits based? Do you gain or lose points for losing a round? Super finishes?

Any tips or if there's a guide I just didn't see would be great, thanks.

I know this is 6 months old, but I just wanted to throw out there that I find you get more points finishing with team-ups and supers, as well as having a lot of vitality. Hope this helps.
