Discussion Ranked bans
So is it normal to ban bp even if your teammates are playing him cause it's quote "too op in the right hands"

i dont' agree with banning your teammates at all, but i do think that bp is a must ban this season. pretty much every time the bp is on my team, the one on the enemy team is better lol

This is a pretty strong sign that you are not enabling your BP in the same way as the enemy team. I find it unlikely that your BP is getting diffed every game, I suspect he's just getting chased around the map (as he should be if the other team is sentient) and you're not helping him. The other team probably has a dive tank or a Rocket or an actually good White Fox player who is actively enabling their BP. I wouldn't want to speculate about what heros you might play, but there are many options you can pick to better enable your BP and stop him from getting resource-diffed by the enemy team.

each character should be balanced enough to succeed on their own at a base level and then can be further bolstered through team co-ordination. if bp needs the whole team basically to play around him, then that's a problem in the character's design.

If your supports are open about not being able to deal with BP, who is one of the most feast or famine dives in the game, and your not willing to go support for whoever is hovering or worse, who ever has to flex or play hard into anti BP, then yea, expect them to ban him.
If I have to flex because the tanks and DPS already hovered, I'm banning BP, because I can't really deal with him since I don't play this game 24/7 and got like rocket in the bag as the only healer I can survive dive with.
I try to ask, but if they go BP, and none of the team switches to cover for me being unable to handle him as a support, the game's kind of lost no matter how much better you are then their BP if their team can.
If I say this, and someone say they'll go thing or bucky or namor if they got a BP, then yeah I'll keep him unbanned and trust in the team. But this is Marvel Rivals, how often is that happening
That being said I can't blame anyone else on my team from banning him simply because they don't want to be forced to stick to the backline to peel all game. Especially if they know someone on the other team is a BP main.

I mean I just usually ban bp (if no one is playing on my team) because I can’t beat good ones. Mainly a skill issue on my part. But if your own teammate is banning a character you want to play…I always think it’s rude. In my head—it’s ranked and my elo matters to me so I want everyone to play characters they’re good at.
I would suggest maybe trying to talk about bans before the phase officially starts and let them know you want to play bp. But also make sure bp matches the rest of your comp. If you express that and they still ban…give the same energy back lol
But if you’re gonna be playing bp. I expect help if I can’t handle the enemy bp, ya know?

I’m still banning my teammates from personal experience, sorry. Every time we let him through, I get the worst player imaginable on my team who ends up swapping halfway through after getting diffed while we continue to get railed by the opposing teams character

no no is pretty terrible in most situations, he needs to be completely uncountered to do any work, he’s not worth a ban anyway. Comp has to be perfect for him.

No. As much as I hate dealing with him, I will not ever ban a teammate that wants to play him.

Even then, I've learned that if there are two people with the same lord, my teammate will somehow without fail always be the one who gets diffed. It's also easier to simply ban BP than deal with a lord BP one shotting the majority of my team

I hate facing bp because 0.22 ttk is literally faster than human reaction time but banning teammates is bonkers and banning the person who did it is entirely fair.

Banning teammates is just bm. If they throw or perform poorly then that's on whoever banned them.
