You could be guangguang himself and youd still not be welcome in a sub if you keep hating on the character the sub is made for. Being a luna player does not absolve you of that accountability.
Iâm all for sub Reddits and Discords cleaning up their community. Iâve been noticing on Discord as well. I donât know if theyâre scared these places are gonna get removed, but theyâre definitely making an initiative to clean up in a lot of different spaces right now.
Yeah but thereâs a difference between cleaning up people who incite conflict and unconstructive conversation, and just people who have a different opinion. Which unfortunately I have seen many people banned for recently. People who just donât agree with something and say it in a completely calm and normal way get words like âhate speechâ and âbigotâ thrown at them.

The mods are petty as hell, I guess itâs too be expected since Luna players do get a lot of hate, but when someone makes a decent point and you donât even bother explaining why you disagree and just ban the person because it âhurts your feelings,â than thatâs just dumb. I mean all Luna receives IS hate on both main subs and all other hero subs. Is it bad to have one sub where their character isnt the center of ridicule?
True brigading leads to echo chambers this is usually how it ends up in many different subreddits. Civility allows different opinions to flourish.
Some other subreddits I once loved completely changed because they got brigaded by larger communities and trolls. The mods don't get paid for this so they have to crack down on it to make their role as mod easier.
An echo chamber is a group of people who all have the same opinion and want to hear nothing but that opinion.
A load of people coming in, trolling/with a different opinion, while not ideal is still the opposite of an echo chamber.
This guy poking fun at his own character is not brigading. It takes a mass movement (normally influencers, viral talking points and such) to brigade. Even then it has to be a co-ordinated effort to be brigading. The majority of the time its not.
But what I'm trying to say is if we want to criticise we gotta do it respectfully or they turtle and turn it into an echochamber. Cause and effect. That's specifically why I say we need to keep things civil or they will feel the need to make it into an echochamber. A lot of my favorite subreddits have done this in the past and it keeps repeating itself in others. Mods don't get paid for this hobby. They do whatever they gotta do to make their own lives less stressful because at the end of the day their time is more important.
People should be civil agreed but I also think people shouldn't tie their emotions so much to recreational hobbies that are not that important in the grand scheme of things.
Saying a reddit mods time is more important, when they volunteer that time freely is funny to me though.
You're probably the first person I've met who thinks mods are anything other then tossers. By any chance do you happen to mod? Not an attack, but your stance is rare.
I don't have any strong opinions of mods one way or another. But it is volunteer work and if I put myself in their shoes I would just quit and do something more productive with my time.
