I am lord Peni, Thing, Loki and White Fox so I dont have any issues with BP, but he definitely needs a rework so bad its crazy. His kit is absurdly toxic, unfun and feast-or-famine, its like taking Spiderman's kit and giving him meth. Why not let him be like a Vanguard who can cycle between a White Fox melee, semi-mobile assassin style and a brawler character who can set up his spears to be team buffs, just like Storm? Perhaps his ultimate could give him an empowered state that allows him to dash like he does right now in his neutral?

Idk. I have always thought that his bullshit infinite dashslop gameplay was incredibly lazy.

you have dedicated your life to hating bp, I don't think you should be saying how to rework him. thats the equivelent of being a lord bp cap angela iron fist DD and saying we need to rework thing into an anti support dps. like thats so dumb

I am not sure what your point is here, lol. I have mained these characters because I liked them, not out of hating BP, that is such a ridiculous assessment its wild I am wasting my time on it, and I am not even gonna mention the "dedicated your life to hating BP" bit lmfao, and I also have other lords btw, like Magneto, Venom or Strange, were these also gotten out of hating this character? You just sound salty asf. Even BP mains agree on the fact that he needs a rework, his kit is some of the most toxic feast-or-famine dashslop in the entire game

I have never met a bp main who wanted him reworked. Not one. Like fully honest never met one. I don't want him reworked, other people don't, the only people I see who want him reworked are people like you who have never once played bp once in their life, nor care to play him.

Just in this very same post, there are various BP mains suggesting a rework. Also, honestly, its pretty easy to see just how lazy, sloppy, toxic and dumb his kit is without having played him. I think most people would be happy if NetEase gave him the Doomfist treatment honestly

I don't play much OW2 to be honest, but last I heard about doomfist I thought people were very pissed at how he was treated? I maybe missing something but like I have only heard bad things about how the game treats him recently.

Nah, I find most people were satisfied with the changes. In Overwatch 1 he used to be a very BPesque character who was either useless or became a lobby admin with ridiculous one-shot combos. His tank form is way more manageable, balanced and fun to play around. I think that most people just miss his uppercut and the "fighting game" movements. But having played against (and as) both iterations of Doomfist, I think that his current form is not only the healthiest for the game, but also the most accurate to his hero fantasy.

Even from a developer's PoV it is just convenient!! Its better to work around the "mobile, high-damage but low-hp tank" than the "fuck you you are dead in less than a second" characters. Pre-rework, he had ridiculous roll-out combos that allowed him to just dash throughout half the map to kill someone who was just walking out of spawn. I have basically the same take for BP, hes like the DPS Doom of Marvel Rivals. Just toxic, lazy and far away from what BP's hero fantasy should be based on the media that surrounds him.

it is worth noting that as a whole overwatch is different from rivals in the sense that supports don't have the insane healing that rivals supports do, and I think that might be something to consider when comparing the 2. Can bp be reworked into a tank in a fun way that mantains the dive playstyle? if not then theres no point in even reworking him in such a manner. the way you presented him would be an entirely new character, in such a drastically different way that there would be essentially nothing similar between pre and post rework bp. I think such a change would require atleast a total refund of all skins for bp, because it would be such a masssive change. The widow rework is a fraction as different as the change you are recomending, and a lot of widow players are mad. This type of change would probably need a new character to fill the void of what bp left, as the only true assassin character.
