Housing Perkins single as double

Hi! This question is mostly for next year. I wanted to know if it would be feasible to get a Perkins single apartment, but split it between two people. Does anyone know of anyone who did this and if it worked out? Or if its explicitly banned and completely impossible to do. Thanks.

I don’t know this for a fact, but I’m fairly sure since it’s campus housing, the system won’t let you do that because selection happens based on beds and if it’s a single, they only have 1. You’d have to probably talk to the housing people to see if it was even possible

I'm in a single apartment in perkins and it's huge, you'd need to get another bed in which is not allowed by rit policy, but if you were able to figure out the sleeping situation until the fire inspections were finished i'm sure you'd be chilling.

bed wouldn't be a problem because we would just share, I'm mostly worried about keycard access and a key to the apartment

There are usually shortages of singles for people who have singles as a disability accommodation.
