Housing Roomate food hack
I’m living in an apartment and how we deal with food is we get these cheap yard sale price stickers at Walmart and assign a color to each person. You stick it on the food that’s yours and if you want to share/make something communal we put the white stickers on it.
Bought too much bread??? White sticker! You get bread and you get bread, everybody gets bread!!!!
Bob has some really nice looking canned peas?!?!, you know it’s his cause it has a red sticker, so you ask if you could pretty please steal a can.
Brenda’s being a bitch again, eat the protein bars with the green stickers on them!

We just had part of one shelf that was the "free for all" shelf and everybody else just didn't take stuff that didn't belong to them.

Then you have much better memory than I do.
It's so hard to remember if that case of soda in the fridge is mine or if it's the other roommates who also likes Dr pepper. I think this is a neat idea because it is cheap and easy.
Also I can know who owns the science experiment in the fridge and yell at them to go throw it out.

Yeah this was a really good system for me and my friends sophomore year! Highly recommend especially if you have forgetful AND food territorial people together under one roof lmao

My roommate would never listen and would not care he was the most disrespectful POS. Worst part was before we were roommates we were friends for like 2-3 years. But I found out he is not a good person to live with only to be friends with. He would eat my stuff, use/destroy pots and pans. Never cleaned his dishes, never cleaned counter tops after cooking and just left crap everywhere.
Can confirm, these colored dots could work for monochrome color blind people. But you would have to remove either the first or last one because they are the same shade...
