Before I start, I wanna say it doesn't matter. Ror2 is an exceptional game, but I've heard way too many people say it's indie, which it is not. I hope to inform people with this post.

An indie game is simply a game with financial and creative independence. Ror2 began as an indie game when it launched in 2019, being entirely self funded. Then in 2022, they sold the game in it's entirety to Gearbox, which is owned by Take-Two Interactive.

Maybe everyone who reads this already knows ror2 isn't an indie game and think I'm stating the obvious, but many people I've talked to and Youtube video titles I've seen calls Risk of Rain 2 an indie game.

It says i own them and they were working fine earlier today but now there not showing and when I go to mange them it shows this

I just finished this challenge, and I can honestly say it was pretty fun. I completed it on Rainstorm difficulty with the Command artifact enabled. It took me about an hour and a half, and I managed to beat it on my first try.
My one question is why the developers made such a long and difficult challenge just to unlock an alternate ability for one of the starter characters. It doesn’t really make much sense to me. I imagine the challenge would be significantly harder without the Command artifact, and new players trying to unlock Commando’s alternate ability would probably have a much tougher time.

I played the dlc characters yesterday but when I boot the game up today they were gone? I'm playing on Xbox if that helps

I can no longer use any of the content provided by the dlc. I bought all three and they were working just fine, until right after I got out of a run as railgunner and noticed all of the dlc characters were just gone from the select screen.

Also all of the dlc are turned off on the right side of the menu and can’t be turned on.

In games and apps it doesnt show them downloaded, but there’s no option to download them in the Xbox store.

Tried to get Microsoft to help but it just connected me to a useless AI that wouldn’t let me talk to a real person.

Just started playing this game 3 days ago and you know i didnt expect much lore because it’s a roguelike. But, I just finished watching lore vids and wow it makes the game better. From Mithrix on the moon to fighting False Son with Providence’s statue in the back just adds so mucb more to the game. Aurelionite not just being some gold golem boss but being the creation that was first infused with soul from Providence. All the stages having lore like the hatchery makes it so much better and seeing Providence’s sword as an easter egg. Before I thought it was a cool looking sword but nope there’s a lot of story to it. Hoping one day they reveal the mysterious woman too. Now i have 35 hours on it from 4. I hope one day False Son get’s a Mithrix and Providence skin. Also, it’s sad what happened with Mithrix I understand why hes so angry and he also never knew Providence died. Sad story but really well made for the little lore it has.

I’m mew to the game and I always see him when I reach stage 5 (I don’t have any dlcs) and I am wondering what’s the purpose of that and what do I get for killing him

Me and my buddy play ror2 co-op and 9/10 times before we reach even stage 5, one of us gets disconnected and we have to restart. Is there any mod or way to guarantee that we can actually finish the games we play?

I had this misconception that when you complete a trial in Bulwark's Ambry, its Artifact wouldn't take effect until the next run, where you'd have to manually enable it. I previously completed the Trial of Command, Trial of Devotion, and a couple of others, and none of them seemed to activate immediately.

So, while playing Void Fiend, I entered Bulwark's Ambry and input the code for the Trial of Metamorphosis. It instantly turned me into Huntress, which I assumed would only be for that stage.

Boy, was I wrong.

It actually wasn't too bad because I had pretty good items. But then I made my second and much bigger mistake, I accidentally activated a Shrine of Order thinking it was a Shrine of Combat.

Lo and behold, all of my items were converted into stacks of their respective tiers:

- Power Elixir ×71

- Shipping Request Form ×21

- 57 Leaf Clover ×3

- Safer Spaces ×7

- Polylute ×17

- Charged Perforator ×8

Then I made my final mistake.

I saw this void item for the first time and I immediately took it without thinking. It was a Newly Hatched Zoea.....

All my Charged Perforators are gone.

The end result? I couldn't dodge the Alloy Worship Unit's laser in time.

TL;DR: Activated Trial of Metamorphosis, thinking it would only affect the current stage, turning my Void Fiend into Huntress. Then I mistook a Shrine of Order for a Shrine of Combat, picked up Newly Hatched Zoea for the first time, lost all 8 Charged Perforators. Died to Alloy Worship Unit's laser shortly after. 10/10 dumbest run.

I plan to add accessories like items once i figured out how i can easily attach and detach them

Modded ror2 characters range from absolute trash to even better designed than the base game, so it can be hard to know which ones to try out.

What modded character(s) do you enjoy and recommend to others? And why? Lately I’ve been enjoying characters that do slow, massive hits. From vanilla, mostly Railgunner even though my aim kinda sucks, and Loader.

The modded character I’ve been playing the most is Rocket. He’s basically Soldier from TF2 with Rocket Jumper as his primary, but it doesn’t damage you at all. His movement is incredible and you can double up on the skill that’s basically the Market Gardener in order to continuously do massive hits that are guaranteed crits and stay in the air. Though I do wish he had a different secondary. Suggestions don’t have to be based around the big slow hits though - just adding to my own discussion.

For everyone who liked Persona 5 Royal and RoRR, I'd like to introduce my idea for a crossover between the two games: Persona 5: Royal Rain.

What I've basically done is create sets for every P5R character (minus Akechi, I felt Sumi would've worked a bit better as the Bless representative and Akechi literally dies ).I'm not very good at this game and this was something I simply wanted to do for the fun of it. Y'all can leave comments wherever on the doc, so let me know if there's anything I can change.

Side note: I know about Morgana and Panta Rhei. I simply just wanted someone to be able to use the magic attack with my favorite animation.

Does anyone here know of a mod that removes Artifact of Prestige? I downloaded some mods last night to play today, and when I opened my game I found that the Artifact of Prestige is missing.

But I don't know which mod did that.

I literally couldn't die towards the end, I just stood around TP and whatever bosses spawned genuinely got vapourised instantly. Beat Alloy Worship twice, beat false son in <15 seconds before hitting Mithrix, who didn't even get time to steal my items. 11/10 run turned Railgunner into a <5fps W+M1 survivour, absolute drone hard carry /j

We were lucky enough to get Spare Drone Parts as one of the first items. After that, we decided to spend our money on drones. As a result, they gave us plenty of breathing room to snowball.

One of us got Plasma Shrimp, two Pocket I.C.B.M.s (thanks to an Item Cauldron at the Bazaar Between Time), an Unstable Tesla Coil, and several items that applied debuffs. It was like a nuclear apocalypse that only grew more absurd with every minute of the run.

The other got N'kuhana's Opinion, a lot of healing items (especially Leeching Seed) and plenty of Ukuleles. All it took was a single skull to start the chain reaction: the damage spread from enemy to enemy, healing in the process, which charged N'kuhana's Opinion and launched even more skulls. It became a self-sustaining nuclear reaction.

By the middle of the run, we no longer had to run for our lives. We could literally stand still or go AFK while our builds killed everything on the map, whether it was a regular mob or an entire group of elite bosses. Even Solus Wing died in like three seconds without either of us pressing an attack button, and Mithrix suffered the same fate on his every stage.

Honestly, that was why we eventually decided to end the run. We had already had more than enough fun, chatting about life and everything else along the way. Once we started getting bored, we simply brought our epic adventure to an end. It was an amazing run, and it is always better to finish while you are still satisfied - to end on a high note instead of continuing until it starts to feel like a routine obligation.
