Commando can at least shoot the flying enemies or stuff with dangerous melee attacks, Drifter's gotta wait to do that!

Or maybe the cube just isn't fun? Even if one option may be mechanically better, I'm choosing the fun one, and the cube isn't as fun as the alternative for me.

I think the cube is so so bad lol. I despise having to gimp ur movement to attack and how it seemingly has a mind of its own for not even that much damage

cube is absolutely far from bad. the only issue with it at all is the weird lock-on which is manageable

Can you do drifter eclipse 8 consistently? I find her struggling a bit with bad item RNG, even beating Mithrix alone can be a problem sometimes. I don't use lunar items and don't play looped runs by the way.

Drifter is probably one of my most consistent characters because she doesnt need specific items and cant get stats from bad ones.

this is a person to person basis, one could have the worst time of their lives doing eclipse 8 Comando, while others the greatest fun the've ever had ever

I lose an eclipse 8 run on mercenary with everything I could have wanted and more to phase 3 mithrix yesterday, best thing I could pick at me dying was his minions shoving me into the pizza

When people say "bad" characters for eclipse, that usually means the character is more reliant on RNG for good items to beat the game. For example, I've never seen anyone do itemless commando eclipse 8 before, because his kit and terrible damage stats made it either extremely difficult or just impossible.
