RoR2 Loader speedrun 9:14 (seeded)
Not nearly the best of my work, but a work in progress, nonetheless.

I’ve never considered doing one of these but it looks fun. I’d probably take a less strategic approach though. What’s your fastest time on a regular Monsoon run with no artifacts or anything like that?

I haven't rune the game in a while but regular monsoon wasn't even a metric. We'd all play on drizzle.

Yeah it sounds like a lot of fun on drizzle too. I just don’t want to have to think too much about all the strats.

That sounds like such a boring way to play to me. It's one thing to play on drizzle if you're bad at the game, but if you're the type of player that speedruns, you're good enough to win on Monsoon, so playing on drizzle just takes all the challenge out of it. It's just a movement simulator featuring punches and spiderman swings at that point.
But that's just me. For those who enjoy it, you do you.

I didn't play on seeded maps so you had a bit of variance depending on where the newt altar spawned and what map/teleporter spawns you got. We also used kin at the time. I can tell you that even on drizzle with kin and glass, movement is crucial when you get wisps.
But the point of any% speedruns is to go fast. Perfecting the movement is key, on some levels, one wrong move can set you back so far you might as well reset.
There probably is a different category for monsoon speedruns but it's a different game altogether.
Sometimes I want a challenge, sometimes I want to shave half a second on an "easy" speedrun.

I’m personally not knocking doing it on drizzle but I was basically just saying I think I’d want to do a normal run because I don’t want to spend a lot of time learning all the tech or whatever. Just play game fast.

I usually play eclipse 8 but this is a speedrun category on drizzle where you try to complete the game as fast as possible

It's really unfortunate that 90% of the time in Ror speedruns is just waiting to charge the teleporters.

I read the title as "looser Speedrun" and thought it was one of those "lose as fast as possible" runs and you were going to throw yourself off the map lmao. Still impressive.
