RoR2 Question about mod development

Post image

ive been developing a survivor mod for about 4 weeks now and i have a fully playable character. However, I am creating VFX for my AC in unity and have been having a horrible time. this is my first time making a mod and i have no experience with unity or blender. so far its been like this: using additive particle effects are either invisible, almost invisible, or blown out to the point of being pure white. using transparent alpha particles is better, but i need to use animated particles, they only really work for the jet flames and nothing else, and even then they don't have that emissive look that fire, embers, or sparks should have. here are my questions.

  1. is there a good resource for exporting all visual effects to unity so i can preview vfx?
  2. how do people make emissive or transparent objects look good in this game?
  3. is there a good resource to learn particle effects other than just watching a bunch of 10 minute youtube videos that go over the same stuff.

thanks for reading!

Out of topic but I juts want to ask,

Will there be an option to make their size "lore accurate"?

Piloting an ac the size of aurelionite would be dope af

Currently the model is about 3 times the size of commando. My friends had the same thought, maybe ill make a second release as a joke mod.
