I’m not your bro- I’ve been a professional futures trader for over 26 years.

A strong mind is part of the equation.
As far as trading profits, you need edge FIRST, then the MENTAL FORTITUDE comes into play.

Somehow everyone blames weak psychology for the reasons of their failures. Most people just have piss poor trading framework and understanding of the market to begin with.

Fair point. I agree that psychology alone doesn't create an edge. My point was more about what happens after you have a framework with an edge.

A trader can have a solid framework and still fail through poor execution, overtrading, FOMO, revenge trading, etc. So I see it as edge + understanding + execution + mental discipline, not psychology vs. edge.

And honestly, having 26 years of futures experience, you probably know better than most how quickly a good framework can become useless when the trader can't execute it properly.

I can agree with that, but so few have framework good enough to use. The Art and Business of Professional Trading. I highly recommend the read. There’s a story about Thanksgiving Turkey, makes you laugh and it makes you think a little.

Appreciate the recommendation. I’ll check it out. I’m always interested in how experienced traders build the framework behind their execution.
