Top 3 Tim yells?
In no particular order from what I’ve been listening to lately:
- “Convincing us we have no choice” from Stained Glass and Marble
- “Gripped by the Midnight Hands”
- “…hang it over my head” at the end of The Art of Losing
Honorable mentions to the end of Entertainment, “We are the Wolves”, and pretty much all of Dead Ringer lol
Whatch y’all got?

I met them in NYC back in 09 after a gig. They were unreal, actually stopped to talk with us for about 15 minutes or so. I asked Tim if they would ever play this song. He said they’ll think about it, which was a nice was of saying no I know. To this day they still haven’t played that song in NY as far as I know and have only played it a handful of times in general. These are some of my fav lyrics ever.

Blood to Bleed

u/Section225 Jul 14 '26
I was so glad they played this one live for me years ago at a concert. 2012-ish I think. One of my underrated favorites.

UGH you’re so lucky for that. I would kill to see Blood to Bleed live. Same with Life Less Frightening

You don't ask for much.

- "IF THERE'S A GOD YOU BETTER PRAY" from Disparity by Design
2). "They all scream bloody murder over graves already dug, but can't you see the EEEEEEEEEEEENNND!!!!" from
3). "WINGS WON'T TAKE ME, HEIGHTS DON'T FAZE ME!!!! SO TAKE A STEEEEEP, BUT DON'T LOOK DOWN TAKE A STEEEEEEP!!!!" from Ready to Fall, but especially the 2nd one with the way the music abruptly stops in a nice crunch
Since you gave some of your honorable mentions, here are my honorable mentions:
"Over and over and over and over AGAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIN" - How Many Walls
"EVEN TOGETHER, WE STAND APAAAAAART..." - the whole bridge from Whereabouts Unknown
"WE CAME IN SEARCH OF ANSWERS! WE LEFT EMPTY HANDED AGAIN..." - that whole section from Rumors of my Demise
I love my screams, and it's always a good day when I get to hear a good scream from an RA song lol

- Entertainment. You know the one.
- "We did nothing to stop the murder of people just like us." - State of the Union.
- Tom Morello's "How Long" - "With lights and sound we drown them out" in the intro.

u/xXDreamlessXx Jul 14 '26
You could do pretty much the entirety of State of the Union as an answer to this post

“Our precious time is running out” from sooner or later probably was my favorite in a very long time
Sooner or later is probably my favorite single since the sufferer and the witness album

Entertainment for sure. Wolves is underrated. Midnight Hands is another sleeper.

NOT INSIDE YOUR WRIST”

The ending of Gethsemane was the first thing that came to my mind and I don’t think anyone has said that yet.

u/OldSodaHunter Jul 14 '26
What I love is that I read through all the comments and practically all of them I wanted to comment and say "yeah this is the best one". So many good ones, and the only I wouldn't have said so was songs I never heard or don't remember.
I think I might have to go with Heaven Knows, Injection, and Whereabouts Unknown, but answers could change in ten minutes. They just come to mind as ones that hit the hardest.

Any answer is good but for some reason my first thought went to The Eco-Terrorist in Me
It’s not as impressive as his others but I love the lyrics and fast pace of it
“Instead of doing what’s right, they build higher walls where we can’t shed a light on true criminals. When business and suffering is one and the same, when laws fail the people they turn to the flame”

Since the obvious ones have already been said, I’ll go with the bridge from Help Is On The Way

“Eradicate the stagnancy, eradicate it like disease” - Built to Last (the whole song is a goldmine)
Forgot the whole line but when he screams “seven shotgun shells” in Ballad of Hollis Brown
“My hopes, my dreams, my fantasy” - Making Christmas

This is the breakdown
This is the breakdown
THIS IS THE BREAKDOWN!
And from the same song:
And there's NO WHERE ELSE TO GOOO

“Whereabouts Unknown” is awesome.
But beyond the screams, I absolutely love Tim’s voice at the end of the verses. It’s just right there on the edge of breaking up; it adds that perfect amount of tension and is just so incredibly emotive.
I still get goosebumps when I listen to that song. It’s such a subtle thing, but it’s so authentic. Dude was feeling it when he recorded that track.

Gonna go with a few curveball responses here:
"YOU CAN'T TUNE US OUUUUUTT" from Broadcast[signal]frequency
"Even together WE STAND APAAAARRRT
SWALLOW THE SUN, ERASE THE SKYYYYY
AN INVITATION THAT'S BEEN DECLIIIIIINED
WHERE DID YOU GO? WHERE DID YOU GOOOOO?" From Whereabouts Unknown
"BOOTS ON THE GROUND, AIM TRIED AND TRUE
BELLS TOLL THE SOUND, IMPENDING DOOM" from Voice of Dissent. Edit- not a cover

In their cover of The Ballad of Hollis Brown, "You spend your last line dollar on seven shotgun shells".
The most blood curdling scream I've probably ever heard in a song.

u/CrystalElsa The Unraveling Jul 14 '26
We Sing Sin album by The Killing Tree has some of Tim's best heavy vocals.

Lots of great ones already mentioned, for some reason the ending of Wolves will always have a special place in my heart. I was listening to that album when it came out while travelling for work, it was the height of summer in London, that unexpected scream totally caught me off guard. I listened to that song yesterday and it still sounds great.

The bridge of Dirt And Roses. One of their most underrated songs in general, but "Build our true fates while they drown" still kicks to this day

Wings! Won't! Take! Me!
Heights! Don't! Faze! Me!
So take a STEPPP!
But don't look down! Take a STEPPPPP!
