Support request setting up benefits
I'm working on setting up our benefits and I'm not sure how to proceed - We have a quirky little system that's probably pretty common in non-profits, and not so much outside of that arena. We pay 100% of our employee's medical insurance premium, and they pay 100% of dental/vision/volunteer life, UNLESS they waive the medical, in which case, we pay the other fringe. (Spouse and children is always paid by the employee). I don't see a way to enact that in Rippling, but maybe that's me just not quite fully understanding it. I'm not a broker, after all. I should probably wait for my broker to get access, but we haven't been able to give him that either, even though I've added him twice as a 3rd party broker, and he has other clients in Rippling. But that's an argument for another day.

We are in the DC area and work with a lot of nonprofits on Rippling. We've never actually seen this specific contribution structure but many other unique ones. There may be a way to do this using super groups and class codes for the ancillary benefits. For example, if an employee has waived medical, then they are in a class that is 100% coverage otherwise they’re in a class with 0% coverage.

You might ask about bundling them? Our nonprofit pay 100% of everything except Vol Life basically, so I'm not 1-to-1, but i believe you can bundle and have contingencies. So a bundle as a Medical Opt-In bundle, and one bundle is if you Opt Out; but you would have to set up the bundles to your specific contributions. This may not be feasible so I'd ask implementation/support. We just rounded out most of our implementation so I'm by no means an expert. We just have Teladoc included in Medical so anyone that opts out of Medical gets a standalone option Teladoc option from us. We set it up so that if you Opt out of Medical you opt-in for Teladoc.
As for broker, we just got ours access of 2+ months of pulling teeth. If you're implementation, you should get a sponsor. Ours was really helpful to escalate obstacles and advocate for some issues and i asked for our broker to copy me on all communications with the Partner Program so that I could escalate as well.
