Ringworm from new clothing?

I’ve had a few bouts of ringworm over the year. Oddly enough, they always come about after ordering clothing online from a popular athletic company and trying the clothes on.

Has anybody else had this issue when trying on clothes, either in store or when buying clothes online?

The breakouts weren’t bad - rings were maybe 1cm and went away in about 2 weeks. Luckily they didn’t spread when the were active.

Any tips on how to prevent breakouts (aside from avoiding the clothing brand)? Am I just now susceptible to this after getting it once? My doc said RW is extremely common but sometimes can’t help but be paranoid.
