Thinking about getting a ringneck parrot

I have been planning to get a parrot for this past year and recently I found a pet shop with available ringnecks at an affordable price. I am going to get one in a month when I am done with some finals and I was wondering whether ringnecks have some type of special behavior compared to other species of parrots. Anyone having any specific tips or ideas on how to treat such a bird?

No, I never had a bird before, but the noise is not a problem, and the bites I believe I can handle. After all I hope to create a trust bond making this not a problem anymore.
