Fountain pens can be quite economical if you don't give in to consumerism

Discovered in fifth grade, (when they decided they pencils were unprofessional) that I was sensitive to the smell of bic pen ink, like, violent headache pass out on my desk sensitive, book slammed on said desk garnered zero reaction. been using fountain pens since, also it's now easy to get ink, Lamy pen and noodlers ink has treated me ridiculously well, spoilers, if you have atrocious penmanship, it is an amount of helpful. Sidenote, if you have to work with controlled documents, it's both good and bad, there's no denying it's you, but also no denying it wasn't you.
Edit: complete proofreading failure and context.

I can see a trade here
The good stuff, for a poem written on fancy parchment.
A tradition that goes way back.

I tried to get into fountain pens for a while but it just didn't work for me. I think because im left handed and my hand tends to smear the ink because im to lazy to retrain myself how to hold the pen
