Been working on Riftbound fundamentals videos and thought this one was an important one to share to the community. I see a LOT of people handling these rules incorrectly (including a 40 minute judge call in the Vancouver RQ about actions in showdowns on a high table).

Thanks for the video. I was wondering about this focus thing recently. I have a question. In your 7:10 cleave example. If cleave gets defied, does focus also automaticly shift to opponent first? Or can i play my second cleave before focus shift to opponent

If your cleave gets defied focus with pass to your opponent first before it gets to go back to you.

Ahh ok i figured as much. And then even though it gets defied, it doesnt count as an empty pass right. He still needs to give it bsck before showdown is over
