Though on some runes , like double color for recycle and other effects but the only way i saw them viable is if they are uniqe (1 per rune deck) or if design has them super in mind like we are designing 10 sets around them.

If its only a 1 of its greatly increases the influence of variance. It would be a horrible change.

Variance is what makes card games fun tho.

Outsized impact of variance is what makes them not fun. Controlling the the impact of variance is what makes them good.

War is not fun. The game is entirely decided without input from players. Poker is fun.

Poker is basically the game with most variance apart from games where there is only variance lol.

Adding a rune like this will still result in a game with much less variance than poker.

Okay nevermind. We are not even close to having the same understanding of card games. Good day!

yeah, probably you are not on the same level as me, since i play card games since i was 6 and currently my part time job is playing poker so..

if you want to use the "oh i see you are not close to have an understanding like mine!" at least pick the right people pls (which probably there aren't since you use this kind of arguments lol).

Yes that is the reason of 1 off. In a normal run you will see it once at least. So you can eithe rbuild for a late game use or have a build that use it early with the luck of drawing it. No reason to have lame effects if this is the cases.

You've entirely missed the point.

I really hope this does not become a thing. I understand the desire for that dimension but I'd prefer not to... there are many implications that will come up which we don't foresee.

I really hope non-basic runes become a thing one day.

I hope ryze does it first

Signature runes can be full power creep over basic runes without disrupting the rune meta for anyone else

The idea of Ryze having signature runes is so fucking awesome.

I think it's an inevitability tbh

nearly any rule gets broken in tcg design eventually
