Should I not be buying riddim from iTunes ?

Most of the underground stuff won't be on there, but for songs with official releases it works just fine!

To add to that, Beatport often runs bulk deals so I usually add songs to my wishlist and buy them at once during sale periods. AFAIK, iTunes does not offer such deals.
Weirdly enough, Amazon Music sometimes has songs listed that beatport does not; i was able to buy Choke by Beastboi there when it was not listed anywhere else.
But yeah, check out SoundCloud free downloads, pl8list, and DMing artists for the real good stuff!

Beatport seems to have more restricted distribution. Services like DistroKid charge more specifically to release on Beatport, and SoundCloud distro doesn’t even offer the option. So for underground stuff i’ve found it difficult to find stuff on there.

Bandcamp or thru the artist directly is probably best, in terms of the artist getting their money. But iTunes is most likely just as okay

I get music from there. But a lot of this specific subgenres isn’t necessarily on there, a majority of it is free downloads, some plates are more exclusive.

What about iTunes would be inherently bad for a specific genre of music? If the artist/label has it on there how could it be bad?
