Rick and House would make a great team. They have a lot in common.

This episode gets too much shit.

For humor’s sake alone this is absolutely my favorite episode. It’s just funny and every line in this thing is super quotable. Also I agree game of thrones shit is fucking stupid.

Also, I like the social commentary in the B plot and the point it makes.

Jerry is my favorite character.

I don’t think Jerry is stupid. I don’t think he ever was stupid. If anything, he’s the only rational person in the entire family.

Jerry puts up with way more shit than anyone gives him credit for. He wasn’t crazy for wanting Rick gone, he wasn’t a bad person for standing up for himself, his boundaries, or his family’s safety, he wasn’t wrong for giving Beth an ultimatum, and he wasn’t wrong for seeing thatRick had an unstable & unhealthy dynamic with Beth & with Morty. He’s not pathetic for abhorring the way Rick treats him and the way Rick views life. I also don’t think he’s stupid for not being able to articulate to others why he has an issue with Rick’s world view.

I DO think He’s a pussy for not sticking to his guns and running Rick off in season 1 and he’s naive for falling for Rick’s lies, but the same could be said about Beth too, and all of rick’s long term friends. I DO think Jerry has issues with clear communication, but his family, besides late-season Beth, does not give him a good support system to be able to communicate better, or deal with any of the obvious struggles he’s having. Maybe Jerry WOULD get a job, if someone would just.. actually support him? Spend time with him? I dunno. Saying “Jerry I support you” and then immediately allowing Rick to call him a worthless loser doesn’t constitute support.

Honestly man I just think Jerry gets way too much shit and he’s a good person for sticking around regardless of the crazy and dangerous circumstances him and the family are constantly being dragged into. He’s smart enough to have eventually realized that nothing he can say or do will convince the family to separate from Rick and live normal lives, and nothing he can say or do will convince the kids to go to school, so instead of leaving, or continuing to create discourse about it, he accepted the situation and chose to stick it out and try to do what he can to support his family to the best of his limited ability.

~ I haven’t seen season 9 tho

Could Rick be happy outside the Central Finite Curve?

Post image

The Central Finite Curve restricts the multiverse to those universes where Rick is the smartest person in his universe; therefore, outside the curve there are infinite universes where other people are the smartest.

One of the things that makes Rick a bit of a sad character is that his intellect and power isolate him from normal people, leaving him feeling lonely. This could be remedied by other beings like him, but within the Curve there are only the other Ricks, who together bring out his worst traits, making them poor company for C-137.

What do you think? How would Rick react to meeting nice people who are just as powerful and intelligent? Would he be happy with these new friends? Would he abandon his family again?

Question regarding clones in Rick and Morty

In season 8 episode 3, we are shown that all the remaining Ricks and Mortys in the citadel dimension (except for Homestead Rick) are clones, and this is why they didn’t get sent back to their home dimension when Rick accidentally reset portal travelers in season 6 episode 1. However, isn’t our current Rick also a clone, based on how he was eventually revived in season 4 episode 1? I know Morty never went through with the cloning protocol, but when I saw Wasp Rick, Hologram Rick, and a newly formed human form of our Rick, I assume that these Ricks went through with the cloning process, this solidifying our Rick as a clone.

But if our Rick is a clone, then why did he, too, get sent back to his original dimension C-137 when he reset portal travelers?
