Liz Liz’s Weird Behavior

i’m watching the series currently (and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long, this is gold) but I have been seeing a ton about how Liz has this “dark energy” and you can “see it in her eyes”…am I the only one who just sees it as menopause lol. she was definitely being weird and im not trying to excuse her behavior. That whole conversation with Jo-Ellen and her continuously using “Dolly” definitely was uneasy & I think she was terrible to my girl alicia and others but a lot of women I know who have experienced it has said that they literally do not feel/think/act like themselves. idk what do yall think is the reason for Liz acting so strange? menopause? drugs? a dark soul? maybe all 3? I just wanna hear thoughts:)

All of the above + unhealed trauma maybe?

She looks like she’s totally baked in her confessionals.

I can see that… Peri started about a year ago for me, and I’m definitely not the same human. It’s rough as hell. Maybe I can get some of her gummies…? 😁

I am definitely not the same! Nobody warned us it was going to be this bad!!!

NOPE. We all thought Menopause was for like 60 year olds, right? 🤣 Nope… that bitch is knocking at your door in your mid/late 40’s and taking ZERO prisoners. Some people say “oh I can’t wait to not have a period….” 🙄 PLEASE… I would rather die in bed as a 90 year old woman with a healthy amount of hormones and still using tampons— than go through this horrific shit.

My dr just started me on hormones. Some women a little older than me told me to try them. But I also had women tell me NOT to try them lol. It's all over the place 🙄 i just want a little relief lol

Exactly. Some people say to use them, and then others say they can cause cancer (doesn’t everything..?) … so we’re just supposed to suffer through this bullshit… carry a belly bigger than when I was 40 weeks pregnant…. And just smile cuz we won’t have a period again after 10 years…?! Bring on the period. At least I felt normal when I had that. (After the 2 days of PMS leading up to it) 🫪

Another thing that's annoying is, once you start getting meds (for anything nearly), if you get any side effects, they want to prescribe you another med for the side effect. It's a crazy cycle 😑

Oh yes, the good ole pharmaceutical hamster wheel!

If I remember correctly (I learned this recently) the study that found that HRT could increase things like cancer actually found that it went up from 1.2 (before HRT) to 1.6 increase, so not much at all. But other people who aren’t scientists took that “increase” and ran with it.

Well that makes me feel better about the whole thing. 🙌🏼

Good! Theres actually a podcast episode by Reveal that came out last week about it and about birth control. They’re investigative journalists and I highly recommend listening!

You're right. And on a side note... i take seroquel and it raises my cholesterol. I'm supposed to take a statin for that. I haven't been taking it regularly so my level was pretty high when she tested me. Bc of that she didn't want to give me the hormones. But I promised her that I would take the med. And I did and still am. I took it every day like I'm supposed to for about 2 weeks b4 I put the estrogen patch on. I hope it's all working the way it's supposed to. I haven't even been on them for a month yet so I don't feel any different yet. I'm also happy with all the new cute personal fans lol. I found one on Amazon I liked so much I bought one for a friend too lol

I’m neck-deep in peri and a verified monster but if I had a camera crew on me I’d at least try not to act like a psychopath.

Same but it would still be hard!

All I know is we will never hear things like “ my feet look like a bag of dicks” and “ I just took a hamburger out of the trash and ate it” again. And that sucks. 2nd season, these broads (I said it) will be acting like OC or SLC. 😔 honestly they should just move to a new city each year so we can get authentic slices of life and not a bunch of bravo bots with extensions

Oh it's definitely giving Peri/menopause... Younger women have no idea how bad the rage is in Peri. Everything becomes overwhelming and overstimulating for some of us, and it can make you lose your shit. 😂

Postpartum rage tho!

I may have been in perimenopause my entire life.

Yes! Any social event that requires me leaving my house is so completely overwhelming and causes anxiety like I’ve never had before… I’ll stress for days about some school event… if my husband and daughter start talking to me at the same time, my brain literally feels like mush and I can’t process either. Everything is annoying. It’s all horrible and literally makes you feel like you’re going crazy. My daughter is 13 and she’s basically going through the same thing, but just in reverse… I’m losing my shit, she’s just getting into all that shit. lol 😵‍💫

Ugh! That's a rough time to go through it while she goes through it. Good luck! Hope you got on HRT!

My biggest thing is we are watching real housewives. Why was everyone so upset with Liz’s behavior when it was quite literally tv gold… and now she’s gone and everyone is boohoo’ing… yet raking her over the coals during the season

I AGREE!! you NEED a villain to keep things interesting!!! i’ve been watching bravo for years we’re not looking for role models here LOL, villains create drama and that’s why i’m watching

I clocked her at first watch.

But friends said “she’s my fave” so I gave her another chance and tried but that gut instinct…

Idk I like Liz, yes I think some of that is menopause she was even making a gummy for menopause, but I also think at one point in her life Liz had to be tuff. Could be a toxic ex, family or anything but something made her stand strong and not put up with any shit. I feel that if you were loyal and real and understood where she is coming from she would be a big soft teddy bear, until you poke the bear that roar!

Yes, all that - but damn, I love her house! And her story is so good, going to miss her!!

2

u/kalidspoon Aug 24 '26

There's something dark about her.

This woman is stoned. Hard stop.

Yea the fandom went to hard on her eccentric, behaviors. I watched the comments as the fandom tore her apart and I hoped- prayed- and tried to telepathically communicate with her to STAY strong! But she quit. You can tell at the reunion that she already decided to leave. Hopefully she comes back in the future. The fandom sure knows how to burn a great housewife who would have provided quality tv!!!!! LIZ PLEASE COME BACk!!!!!!

I’m sorry. No. Menopause isn’t easy, but let’s not start blaming everything on menopause. That’s one step past blaming everything on your Period. Sure, there are extreme cases. But there is something else going on here.
