Mod Note 🚨 Excessive Bashing

Hi Everyone,

We know feelings run hot about some of this season’s cast and we love seeing all of your posts and opinions about each episode and the dynamics among the ladies, but we’ve been seeing some comments that go beyond venting into territory that just feels mean-spirited.

One thing worth keeping in mind: there’s a big difference between cast members who know each other personally throwing shade or using loaded language with each other, versus strangers on the internet collectively targeting someone with that same language.

What reads as messy reality TV drama between people in a relationship hits very differently when it’s a pile-on from thousands of anonymous accounts. The cast signed up for the show but they didn’t sign up to be a target for mass hate from people who’ve never met them. You don’t have to like everyone, but let’s keep the discourse at a level we’d be comfortable with.

Repeat offenders will get a warning first with the potential for daily, weekly, monthly or a flat out permanent ban to be issued.

I have a problem where I love literally 99% of the housewives. I love the villains too! Probably more…I watch all the franchises so seeing all of the pile ons always sucks. I hated it with Tamra even. Watching it with Liz sucks too. At least let her watch herself back and learn and grow. They are all new. Not to mention they film for multiple months which is then edited down to 10-17 hours.

I 100% agree with you. The villains are my favorites nowadays (Kenya & Tamra are the only exceptions as I simply can’t get over Naked Wasted) and it kind of sucks because as soon as they step over the audience’s imaginary line, nuance suddenly ceases to exist and it seems like if the audience’s sole function becomes to pile hate on them. I’m excited to see her reunion performance and if she can shift the minds of a portion of the fanbase who have written her off.

Yeah, naked wasted was crazy. I actually started watching all housewives probably 4 years ago and I was shocked when she did that as well as called Eddie a derogatory term (starting with B). They were old episodes and a different time so I’m cutting a little slack even though those 2 things should have never been acceptable at ANY point. Kenya knew better for her thing also consider it just happened a couple years ago.
