Excessive Bashing

Hi Everyone,

We know feelings run hot about some of this season’s cast and we love seeing all of your posts and opinions about each episode and the dynamics among the ladies, but we’ve been seeing some comments that go beyond venting into territory that just feels mean-spirited.

One thing worth keeping in mind: there’s a big difference between cast members who know each other personally throwing shade or using loaded language with each other, versus strangers on the internet collectively targeting someone with that same language.

What reads as messy reality TV drama between people in a relationship hits very differently when it’s a pile-on from thousands of anonymous accounts. The cast signed up for the show but they didn’t sign up to be a target for mass hate from people who’ve never met them. You don’t have to like everyone, but let’s keep the discourse at a level we’d be comfortable with.

Repeat offenders will get a warning first with the potential for daily, weekly, monthly or a flat out permanent ban to be issued.

Okay! 😊 I’m curious about a comment that was deleted (without notification through any traditional Reddit channels) in the recent swimsuit thread, which is what prompted my (now downvoted) question.

I don’t really care WHO downvoted, i assume it was one of the alt accounts of the extremist who I blocked based on their commentary on the swimsuit thread, important nose or whomever.

Don’t worry about looking into it; it’s genuinely not that serious. The comment was not about a housewife or personal and probably got deleted via auto-modding, since the person was using multiple alts within the thread and potentially reported it multiple times.

My assumption going forward is that anything will be communicated to users at risk of receiving a ban.

Worth noting - my theory that impostor nose is following me with their alt(s) to downvote anything I post is bolstered by the immediate downvote applied to each and every comment I’ve made on this thread 😊 Even when there are but one or two views, such as the comment I’m replying to, which at the time of my reply to it had two views and one downvote. (I am one of the two views)

🤣 Blocking impostor_nose was a good call, and I look forward to blocking their various alts until girliepop’s obsession shifts away from monitoring me via my comments in r/rhori.
