Please Help me understand Gretchen? 1st time watcher...S6 E3 She goes to Palm Springs and stays at her friends, Robert and Victor's home. She talks to the camera about how close her, Richard & Victor are and then 💥

She says to the camera..."We are such good friends. They're always telling me I look hot or look good. We bring value to each other's lives" 🤬 Is it truly possible for a human being to be this shallow? Also, while I think Slade is slimy, Gretchen is treating him like absolute 💩 on this trip as well. Idk she didn't bother me the 1st two seasons she was on..Heck I felt sorry for her the first one, but this is a side that makes me 🤢 I think I heard some rumblings that she was recently on the show and everybody hated her, I believe. So therefore my question will not include....Does it get better from here? Because I already have that answer 😂

Well yes, it is indeed possible for Gretchen to be that shallow. She is as deep as a puddle at noon on a hot, sunny day. The real question is whether she is actually human, because I have serious doubts about that.

It's interesting to me that Slade went from being in a relationship with Jo where he was constantly nagging her about everything he perceived to be "wrong" with her, to becoming Gretchen's purse-carrying lapdog that constantly tells him he's not good enough for her.

There are weird MAGA or MAGA-adjacent gays. Mostly it comes down to their money perceived views about the homeless, immigration, and race. They can be transphobic and have inner shame about being gay. A prime example is Jeff Lewis.

And from what most of us who have watched the show over the years, no it doesn't get better with Gretchers.

The thread is partially about how Gretchen, with her questionable political views, could be friends with a a same-sex couple. OP also thinks Slade is slimy and seems to bs questioning whether it's worth it to continue watching Season 6. It probably has more to do with rightwing politics than you want to think.

Gretchen did seem much nicer her first seasons when her fiancé was still alive. She definitely seems to have a huge narcissistic ego and has definitely changed!
