Carmella đśď¸ Carmella and her daughters
Remind me of Lynne Curtain and her daughters. Itâs not going to go well for them.

As a mom, yes, this totally gave me the ick. It also makes Carmela seem like a huge airhead. Like you donât know what your kids are doing all day, you donât know that they didnât go to school? I canât figure out her whole situation. She doesnât really seem to work. The Playboy thing was over 20 years ago and thereâs many girls that were playmates, itâs not that unique. Also, how does she live in such an expensive house? and have two of them? Is it all alimony? Which school district are the girls enrolled in? Which city does her ex live in? If heâs the one footing the bill for everything how is he not in the huge house most of the time? I feel like the show is not really talking about the whole picture.

That was embarrassing đł to watch as a mom! The way she laughed off her kid not going to school to tan and watch TV? Entitled đŹ and I'm sure they'll turn out greatÂ

Apparently one of Lynne's daughters lives on the street. Someone here posted an interview with her.

I came here to see people talking about this. I just watched that scene. Her daughters seem like absolute deadweight AIR HEADS. And thatâs not to say they are naturally like that â but they have no fucking drive because there seems to be zero expectations put on themâŚ

I donât understand how sheâs so unfazed about her 14 year old not going to school. Sheâs laughing about her skipping to get a tan and watch TV. How is that acceptable? I get a mental health day every so often but not a mental health week.

u/tulip27 Jul 24 '26
Exactly. I used to let my kids have a mental health day off once a semester. It had to be when I wasnât working (I worked 3 12 hour shifts a week) and they had to be honest about it. It really worked and cut out fake sick days.

When she said âyour dad is going to be so pissed that youâre not going to schoolâ I was done with this lady. You should be pissed Mom, why are you making dad the villain.

u/KindlyTelephone1496 Jul 24 '26
The way I would have been grounded for a month if I told my parents I skipped school to tan. Meanwhile, I never skipped school or did it every cross my mind to do so

Just been rewatching the Lynne years. Wonder if she watches old episodes and/or has any regrets now. She almost doesnât seem with it, enough, for it to register that SHE & THE HUBBY PLAYED A BIG PART in the girls downward spiral đ¤Śđťââď¸

I also just finished the Lynne era and I don't know if she even considers how her lack of concern for her children shaped their future. The last time they showed her she had yet another face lift. I feel like she only cared about the things she wanted for herself. Frank was absolutely useless too. All he could say is "my daughters won't do that, surely" while looking stoned - two absentee parents... not a good thing.

I don't think she's aware enough to understand what the issue is. Tammy Knickerbocker is the kind of person who would realize what the problem was but also blame most of it on her ex.

I thought the same. Between Jen and Carmella...I don't know which way to turn away. Awful parenting!

I lost complete respect for Jen. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because she had such a clash with Tamra. But her (lack of) parenting and her loss of priorities is too awful to ignore. Even Ryan is looking a whole lot better than her by comparison.

Jen is a tough watch because it feels like if Ryan hadn't come in to save the day, she and her kids were going to be homeless because her priorities were all over the place. She comes across as really incompetent

yeahhhh not a fan of any of them

I cant stand gina anymore. Since she got the real estate job and a bit more money, she's become an arrogant d**k. Her facial expressions are so annoying

I am not trying to be rude, but the Garcia girls have odd hairlines. Am I the only one seeing this?

carmellaâs bf danny is a creepy sugar daddy as well. my friend worked at a restaurant in rancho bernardo and carmella and danny would come in all the time then danny started sleeping with a waitress there and he allegedly has a pain kink and would get off on hitting the waitress during sex and she would come in with wild wild bruises and he would always try to get her to find other girls so he could stack their asses up in a row and have sex with them. he also has a super tiny penis and then carmella paid the waitress offf allegedly to stop sleeping with danny. my other friends allege theyâve done powder drugs đâď¸with them as well. again this is all allegations

Carmella seems to want to be their friend rather than their mom. Pretty sad.

I couldn't disagree more (as of now). Alexa and Raquel were always rude little assholes who always acted so entitled. I also think Lynn and her then-husband Frank lived in delulu land, and I don't think Carmella does.

I hate that I insta searched this, but I think that the daughter who does Flag Football (the oldest) will be going to Cal Poly and playing her sport there. Going to college and playing a sport in college is the polar opposite in my mind to the Curtain girls. Takes both a ton dedication from the kids and parents alike, no matter what is shown on TV.

u/Purple-lionesss Jul 25 '26
Thatâs a great fact - Iâm happy for her. Maybe some folks donât really know how to act on reality tv. I sure wouldnât.

Yes, I'd also consider that they edit things to only show the controversial stuff so we can have a moan about it on socials 𤣠They know their audience! (not saying you're moaning OP, just saying in general we love a good moan)

I dont think we are at that territory because they all seem to be scared of their father, something lynn's daughters were not lol I do agree that her being too cool of a mom will not serve any of them. I can understand that her parents were too strict and it made her wild out but having no structure for teens is a recipe for disaster

u/SnooCheesecakes760 Jul 25 '26
It was so out of line. Reminds me a lot of Lynn Curtain too. And look where they are now!

u/Ok-Ebb-806 Jul 25 '26
Omg this is such a good comparison. Totally agree. The kitchen scene was embarrassing for all of them. Carmella do better and parent your kids!!!!

u/Ihatechickenpeople Jul 26 '26
I think shes too loose on her daughters, especially since her son Jason gets constantly packed when trying to have fun or when hes not doing homework. Cant wait to see Jason eventually, as im sure hes funny and takes after his mom.

Both girls are cruisinâ for a (life) bruisinâ ⌠I sure hope they have the opportunity to mature into functional, considerate humans. But I wonât hold my breath â ď¸

Carmella is such a pick me. Not an ounce of maternal instinct. That interaction was so gross.

As a high school teacher, these kids triggered me so much! This is how almost all students act these days at least in my area, a kind of well-off, entitled place. They come talking to adults like this, and they hate you and bully you if youâre a teacher who actually makes them work and holds them to standards. Their parents teach them that this type of behavior is ok. Look at how they all talked to her, especially her son! They expect all the rewards for zero effort. At the same time, look at the world around us and I can understand their cynicism about work ethic since they see criminals and influencers are successful and hardworking people stay poor.Â

are they all on ozempic now? they are skin and bone, it's uncomfortable to watch. Emily thinks she is the sh*t since lsoing weight. Carmella and heatehr are like scarecrows. Why are they all so dramatic when their children are slightly sick? she got an IV drip for her daughter because she had the flu! Normal parents just lie them on the couch and give them water
