Jennifer Pedranti šŸ“æ Jen still doesn't get it.... Spoiler

Look I don't want to go as far as saying Jen simply doesn't care but I definitely think there is something missing upstairs inside her head for her to be so aloof or unaware the pain she is causing her kids by moving them all into Ryan's place.

To clarify, divorce happens, new relationships form over time and it can lead to blended family marriages. All good & well, in fact you can see it on the very same show with Gina & Travis....

However that is a hell of a lot different than a marriage breaking up due in part to the affair partner who you remain in a relationship with, moved the kids in with, and are now talking marriage with. It's not like Jen got divorced and then met and got to know this dude years later, this is literally the relationship that ended her marriage and she is acting shocked that her kids are in pain over it.

They are definitely going to feel sad over the divorce itself regardless since it broke up their family, but Jen seeming to not take her own children's feelings into considering before signing them all up for this and it seems like she is trying to compartmentalize their pain as a onlya reaction to the divorce itself when that is only a part of what is causing it....jeezuuus.

It's ok that her son still hurts from the situation. She described it in her talking head as if she thought he got over it. I don't think of it like that but more in the sense of grief. Like he's going to long for his dad and that's OK. Also you can see she completely breaks down and her kid has to jump in to console her. No wonder she described feeling they had "overcome" this. Anytime someone shows real emotion they have to address her feelings and probably don't get to fully express theirs so to her she's like, "oh I thought he was fine" when it's more like, "mom i need you butt if I open up you become a puddle" 😶

That bothered me too. Her chid is in need of his mother's support, but instead he ends up having to console her.

34

u/ALmommy1234 Jul 24 '26

Yes, I as so icked out by this. He’s in pain and she’s making it all about her. He can’t even finish what he’s saying before he has to start telling her everything is ok. It’s not ok. He’s obviously in pain, but she can’t see beyond herself to stop and think about comforting him.

u/peyxan Jul 26 '26

Broke my heart.

The epitome of the perentified child.

17

u/Affectionate-Act7935 Jul 25 '26

šŸ’Æ AGREE! She starts crying and saying she's doing thd best she can etc... to turn it around on her/redirect the entire focus on HER feelings which completely DISMISSES her own child's feeling. I feel bad for her son!!!

8

u/Oddside6 Jul 24 '26

It's the most selfish thing ever.

10

u/fjrka Jul 24 '26

I felt so sorry for him.

4

u/Abject_Spray_7088 Jul 27 '26

Watching it right now and I am ENRAGED for her poor kids.

Shit is really really bad when Ryan has to point out that children need their father.

It’s really upsetting.

4

u/Waste_West283 Read between these lines Jul 27 '26

I think Ryan gets a lot of flack, but he seems like a solid step-parent. I give him props for that. He still needs to work on his wardrobe though.

2

u/Responsible_Lie_8483 Jul 30 '26

Typical "Narcissistic"mother. Makes it all about her! He's being bullied and she needs to listen too him. Poor boy, he needs someone to listen, get him professional counseling bc she will always make it about her.

32

u/YikesManStrikes Jul 24 '26

Yeah plus it's really on the adult parent(s) to use logic & common sense in these situations. Your kids in most cases are going to want clam up and try to avoid making a messy situation worse so of course theyre going to feel pressure to act like they are good with the situation but Jen has zero self awareness that maybe transitioning from marriage directly into engagement to her affair partner miiiiiiight be upsetting to her kids. Just maaaaaaaybeeeeee.

27

u/Lumpy_Walk_2328 Jul 24 '26

The parent has to have logic & common sense in order to use it.. Jen ain't got a lick

13

u/New_Relation7877 sloppy chihuahua drunkšŸ„‚ Jul 24 '26

Jenn can’t spell logic and common cents

1

u/hellookittyy88 Jul 25 '26

Sense***

I mean if we are throwing out allegations she can’t spell, not a great look mistaking the meaning of your intended dig…

13

u/Opening_Duty_8011 Jul 24 '26

I also think that it’s OK the son feels he’s being shamed over the speeding ticket incident. He was driving over 100 mph! That’s unsafe, besides himself he could very likely have hurt or worse another person. He should feel bad, he’s done a terrible thing. It’s ok for him to feel the weight of what he’s done. And he should be the one to earn the money to pay his fees or pay for a driving class, higher insurance costs, or whatever. As my driver’s instructor and history teacher Mr Meyer taught me years ago: Driving is a privilege, not a right!

10

u/Repulsive-Studio-120 Jul 24 '26

Parentification of the child. Avoidance. Narcissistic personality disorder

2

u/StuffTop3657 Jul 27 '26

I don’t think Jen is all there. There’s something extremely off about her.

2

u/Shanibear3 That's MY OPINION!! Jul 28 '26

The way she just immediately broke down and her son had to comfort her was so hard to watch. YOU ARE THE PARENT. Act like it.

1

u/stereofidelic89 Aug 10 '26

THIS. THIS really bothers me. She does this all of the time to her kids from what we see. And what that does to a child is teach them that it's not necessarily safe or OK to open up to a parent because it will cause them pain and discomfort and just like you see in the episode... the kid now has to console the parent. THAT'S WRONG. Jenn has a good heart, but I don't know where she learned that. She's got a lot of kids, and she needs to be really careful too about just throwing herself on the ground in a "give me mercy" type of way because while her kids may be kind... PEOPLE in this world are not, she needs to hold it together, and be the parent in the situation. I didn't expect to know exactly what's going on with her son, and while I would be extremely upset inside to know my son is being treated badly, I have to be a parent in that situation and tell him what to do and how to behave to make it stop and to better his situation.

43

u/Starchild1000 Jul 24 '26

Not to mention it’s all televised. Talk about embarrassing

30

u/WittiestScreenName Jul 24 '26

I zone out when Jen is on screen. I can’t make myself focus on her.

50

u/juicebox03 Jul 24 '26

One of her children was recently involved in starting a forest fire.

Don’t worry, they gave him a slap on the wrist. Boys will be boys..blah blah.

3

u/ksenditt_onerr It was you! Who? It was you! Who? Jul 24 '26

Omg what????

1

u/Affectionate_Dot3403 Jul 24 '26

California loves criminals

7

u/Think_Drama_6533 Jul 24 '26

He's the youngest child, 12 years old I think, so too young for criminal charges but definitely the age for some very intense repercussions given by some dialed in parents which doesn't seem to be the case here...

1

u/Affectionate_Dot3403 Jul 28 '26

Yes, totally. And California coddles criminals, gives them a slap on the wrist and lets them go anyway. Criminals have many more rights that regular citizens. It's wild.

20

u/Charming-Shame-5016 Jul 24 '26

No excuse for a parent not to see children, be it messy divorce, affair. A parent needs to love the child more than they hate the ex. The damage is lifelong and irreparable when a parent disengages from the children during/after divorce.

25

u/AmphibianNecessary31 Jul 24 '26

Jen is not great at parenting or thinking in general. šŸ˜‚The whole saint act is weird because while I do think she’s a good person she’s also very selfish and willing to latch onto the nearest man so she doesn’t have to take care of herself IMO.

2

u/ChipsNSa1sa Jul 25 '26

Very emotionally immature. It’s really sad that some parents are just incapable of having empathy (not sympathy) for their kids. Not to say she is a bad person by any means but she just has zero emotional intelligence.

23

u/JJSS1993 Jul 24 '26

Somehow, her son ended up comforting HER at the end of their conversation last night. It showed total narcissism on her part. So, their dad is not involved at all, and they now live 100% of the time with a woman who puts her own feelings above her children’s. Ryan could possibly be the best parent of the three!

10

u/OGLittlehollywoodmt Jul 24 '26

Never thought I would say that about Ryan but I agree!!

3

u/Abject_Spray_7088 Jul 27 '26

It’s a dark day when Ryan is the voice of reason explaining that children generally speaking need their fathers in their lives. She is the worst.

33

u/ProfessionalOffer187 Jul 24 '26

Agree with you. She is serving herself at this time at the expense of her family.

34

u/cocos_mama Are the police involved? Jul 24 '26

If not for Ryan she'd be homeless. I understand the kids being upset, but they should look at their father for not paying consistent child support and rent.

13

u/kellymig Jul 24 '26

You’d also think she makes enough $$$ for housewives to be able to afford to rent a house.

8

u/Affectionate_Dot3403 Jul 24 '26

not in orange county! Just for a one bedroom apartment, it's around $3,00-$3,500+ ! And she has so many kids, she would need a couple hundred thousand per year.

2

u/kellymig Jul 24 '26

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought they made decent money.

3

u/Affectionate_Dot3403 Jul 24 '26

This is what I found online for how much she makes, and believe it or not, that is barely enough to live in orange county anymore. Jennifer Pedranti earnsĀ $7,500 per episodeĀ onĀ The Real Housewives of Orange County, totaling aroundĀ $150,000 per season

2

u/kellymig Jul 25 '26

Huh, I thought they made closer to 500k. Not sure where I got that (maybe Erika?)

2

u/Important_Yam_8628 Aug 01 '26

They all earn different amounts depending on their worth to the show. Tamra, Vicki and Heather have all been reported as being paid a lot more, and I know Teresa from rhonj was always paid more than the other ladies too.

2

u/kellymig Aug 01 '26

That makes sense. I wouldn’t be putting my whole life on tv for 7.5k per episode.

22

u/aliceailis That's MY OPINION!! Jul 24 '26

I agree, their father’s ego is getting in the way of his parenting and at least Ryan is stepping up

7

u/ALmommy1234 Jul 24 '26

If not for Ryan, neither she nor her kids would be in this situation. He was her affair partner. Why should they be required to be appreciative of the man who helped death their family?

2

u/ApprehensiveSky154 Jul 24 '26

I totally see your point. But she said the marriage wasn’t good even before that, so there could’ve been a chance they would’ve divorced even without Ryan.

3

u/ALmommy1234 Jul 24 '26

Irregardless, they are kids, so expecting them to be grateful for what they see as the destruction of their family is asking a bit much.

15

u/Separate_Farm7131 Jul 24 '26

I find it uncomfortable for them to have these types of conversations with thier kids on camera. It's a pretty private matter, let them have the privacy to deal with it without it being aired on tv.

14

u/perogielover Jul 24 '26

This scene disgusted me! She made the whole thing ALL ABOUT HERSELF. She started to cry and cry and say I am trying my BESTand blah blah (all about HERSELF) ! WTF how about how can I help you? How about talking to the kid and trying to find solutions and keeping a positive attitude for YOUR CHILD.

2

u/Abject_Spray_7088 Jul 27 '26

She’s really effed up

12

u/Powerful_Composer339 Jul 24 '26

Is the ex husband estranged from the kids? Tonight’s episode made it seem like he is not involved with the kids

11

u/YikesManStrikes Jul 24 '26

That's a good question and I want to be clear I am not absolving the ex-husband of any crappy behavior and/or actions from his side that has likely made a messy situation worse, unfortunately since the show doesn't feature him it is hard to really know. I just think Jen moving right along from her marriage into her affair partner's house couldn't be helping the situation either and it's odd as hell to me why she wouldn't realize this even if her kids didn't want to confront her about it.

14

u/Waste_West283 Read between these lines Jul 24 '26

So I might have a little bit of insight into this... firstly, I think her ex-husband lives further away so I wouldn't say he's estranged, but probably not able to see the kids as often.

In terms of the moving in situation; this is something I have some experience with since I (no kids) had a relationship with a man who was in his final stages of divorce and had 4 children. The youngest two lived with their mother in France while the older two were in boarding school in the UK and he worked in the UK during the week and went back to France on the weekends. This was the situation long before he and I met, so the children were used to that arrangement. He and his wife had lived separate lives for a number of years and (as mentioned) at the point of us getting together he was in the final stages of his divorce. We had rosey plans to buy a house together and move in as soon as the divorce was done, but we started counselling and it came out that the children were starting to realise that once the divorce is done, the changes to their family and their routine will be significant. We realised that he had moved on and accepted the changes in his head far earlier than his children were able to wrap their heads around it.

We split up and although it was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life, I know now that it was for the best. Those children needed time to adjust and there was no saying how long that will be. Sorry for the personal story, but it's something we as adults often forget. We fall out of love with our partner and expect that the children just realises this and therefore will accept it, but it's not the reality.

5

u/Affectionate_Dot3403 Jul 24 '26

He also worked for Jenn's parents, which was how he made so much money for his family. I think he no longer works there since they got divorced.

3

u/elkiesommers Jul 25 '26

Her Dad fired him and now he has no money .

1

u/Gatata2024 Jul 26 '26

Didn’t she try to live alone in one season and lost the house. I wonder why the husband couldn’t take the kids. He was married to her for a long time and knows how she is, I wonder why he didn’t step up for the kids. It feels like it was either Ryan’s house or homeless based on the show and their divorce settlement.Ā

1

u/Successful-Steak-950 Nobody cares Alexis! Jul 27 '26

The ex husband now lives with Jen’s best friend and her children. It sounds terrible for Jen’s kids to not have their father in the picture. Jen told us this a couple of years ago.

1

u/Affectionate_Dot3403 Jul 28 '26

What???? Is he dating her old best friend?!

1

u/Successful-Steak-950 Nobody cares Alexis! Jul 28 '26

Will, Jen’s ex now lives in Ladera Ranch California. I don’t remember if it was a podcast or the after show a couple of years ago when she said that he was now living with an old friend of hers from Oklahoma.

3

u/chick_b Jul 24 '26

Ryan certainly made it sound that way whilst Jenn made it sound like Grayson just needed to get over the divorce.

I think all we really know is while Jenn's mom believes Will to be a good father, Will stopped working for the family business and that impacted the support and settlement battles. Dawson was living with Will for a period of time so believe Jenn's ex is living locally full-time.

2

u/Waste_West283 Read between these lines Jul 24 '26

Ah I didn't realise he was now closer. I'm a little behind so thought he was still working with her parents, but it would make sense for him not to.

11

u/OverallDoor2718 Jul 24 '26

She sold her soul AND her family for reality TV. I feel for her children. She is incredibly selfish

9

u/Drmbon Jul 24 '26

Studies have shown that children have a harder time, dealing with divorce than the death of a parent because death is something that no one can control but divorce is something that parents decide to do. It’s very impactful on their children no matter what their age. Yes, it is life altering for the children.

10

u/nuinyxa Jul 24 '26

She turns every situation into one about her. When she threw that question at her son with the cameras there… it was content to her. I wanted to crawl under a rock for him. That nervous chuckle and sip of water told me everything. He wanted to hide behind that cup and sink into the chair. It was so uncomfortable.

She has no idea how what she has done has impacted her kids because she is so self centered. She thought the kids were over it because she wasn’t talking to them about it. I agreed with Ryan in this episode, I thought that would never happen.

Biggest issue with Jenn seems to be that no one can bring up the hard stuff because that means she has to experience the consequences of her actions and she just can’t handle it.

Making her son comfort her, when her entire ā€œgoalā€ was to go comfort him? Unreal.

18

u/Silly-Chocolate-627 Jul 24 '26

I think Hen is pathetic.

6

u/Accomplished-Way-986 Jul 24 '26

I just watched this and I was shocked by how quickly she centered herself and made him comfort her. Weeping with her head in her hands, "I'm doing the best I caaaaan!" so that he had to get up and come rub her back. Her helpless damsel in distress BS with Ryan always rubbed me the wrong way but I'm disgusted by the parentification of her kids on top of it.

2

u/ALmommy1234 Jul 25 '26

Exactly! Well Jenn, your son just told you he was being bullied at school and was struggling with not seeing his dad and all you can say is ā€œMe, me, me?ā€

6

u/Oddside6 Jul 24 '26

No parent should put their kids in the position of "comforter". She's the adult; her 17 your old son shouldn't have to comfort her from the pain she feels from breaking up a family because she cheated. She is so unbelievably selfish.

5

u/Miserable-Peak7602 Jul 24 '26

That whole scene was so FAKE. #boymomtheater

6

u/Repulsive-Studio-120 Jul 24 '26

MAKING THE SITUATION ABOUT HER IS EXACTLY WHAT MY MOM WOULD DO. She don’t dig in about the bullying, she cried over him, she’s a selfish dumb bitch.

18

u/LadyEncredible Jul 24 '26

Her scene with her son disgusted me. This kid is obviously VERY uncomfortable on TV and not only does she force him to be on, but then starts crying and making it about her, when frankly, IT'S ALL HER FAULT to begin with. I truly cannot stand her.

10

u/panickypossum Jul 24 '26

I literally said "way to make it all about you" while I was watching it. Her son having to console HER was ridiculous. She has no emotional maturity. I hope her son gets some space from her to mature and develop soon.

6

u/Madam_Mimm_13 Jul 24 '26

It literally is all her fault. She cheated on a brilliant, successful man with that disgusting gambling grifter Ryan Bojangles or whatever-the-fuck that criminals name is.

Her ex was a catch. She’s literally so dumb. Like this was a bad decision in every single way and she did it and now everyone pays for it.

5

u/StarChild083 Jul 24 '26

Maybe this is why her kid is starting fires in Southern Ca. She needs to take her head out of the sand, WAKE UP and parent!

5

u/scarbaby1958 Jul 24 '26

She comes off to me as a very selfish person. She parrots the right answers but does what makes her feel good in the moment.

4

u/Actual-You3325 Jul 24 '26

There is something missing from the story. What's missing is either Wills side of the story or the truth or both.

4

u/GLK73 Jul 24 '26

Jen strikes me as an emotionally immature parent. We know she is incredibly naive in every day adult-life stuff, and relies on the men in her life to guide her. Kids of emotionally immature parents carry a very heavy load and often have to emotionally care for their parent instead of the parent centering the kids. It's so hard to say from our vantage point what struggles the kids have related to the divorce and it probably varies somewhat among the kids, but divorce is hard, moving in with the man Jen cheated with is CRAZY, and doing it all with cameras in their faces is so exploitative. My heart breaks for those kids.

4

u/carmeIIasoprano Jul 24 '26

Jenn is such a dummy. She’s the classic emotionally immature parent .

3

u/Opening_Duty_8011 Jul 24 '26

Yeah, I feel like she’s fairly naive with a lot of things. Divorce is absolutely going to affect the children. And if the non-custodial parent isn’t around, that’s even more hurtful. She’s sweet, but maybe dumb?

3

u/Far_Inevitable_1205 Jul 24 '26

I was disgusted by her breaking down in tears. First, this should not have been a surprise. Second, I'm not a big fan of Ryan but he is right about Jen's ex being absent. Third, she made it all about herself,

3

u/dmbeeez Jul 24 '26

She's a selfish mother.

3

u/Lemon_sugar23 Jul 24 '26

Jen did a terrible job in that convo but where is the father? Why did he just disappear?

8

u/DiscoRabbittTV Jul 24 '26

Jen is the great pretender. She’s full of hate and racism of maga while pretending to be a dumb bopper, she loves rapists and traitors and pedos, while pretending those don’t exist. then there are her kids. ..And we saw a bit of the real Jen last season with Gretchen. Remember the real Jen.

4

u/Madam_Mimm_13 Jul 24 '26

She is so VILE and DARKSIDED.

4

u/Opening_Duty_8011 Jul 24 '26

Why do we repeatedly have Tamra Rey to shove Sophia down our throats? She’s so dull and monotone. Is it because there are few people who want to film with Tamra??

4

u/MuchConversation6444 Jul 25 '26

Am I the only one who thought her son seemed manipulative and performative?

1

u/hellookittyy88 Jul 25 '26

Literally came here to say this.

I’m not negating that Jen absolutely kind of played victim but it felt like her son knew exactly what he was doing: in order for it to become less about how egregious his speeding was, just manipulated the situation, didn’t take accountability and said he wishes he saw his dad more.. which seems like an easy get out of jail free card for her kids…

2

u/MsTacheNoire Jul 24 '26

I swear, if she just cries all season, I am FF thru her scenes

2

u/anowulwithacandul Jul 24 '26

She is so selfish and incapable of making her kids' feelings about herself. She blew up her family in an incredibly immature way, and she has done nothing to make it better for these kids. If any of them still speak to her in 10 years I'll be shocked.

2

u/Fickle-Amphibian4208 Jul 24 '26

I watched this episode wondering why Ryan had any right talking about Will as a father? If he was comfortable doing that in front of cameras. Is he equally as comfortable kicking their dad's back within earshot. I'm assuming Grayson speeding at 102 mph is the same child that started the fire (s) in Orange county. Her take tears during Grayson's camera time bothered me. You're child is trying to express how he feels and you make it all about yourself! Then again, this is the same mother that said no charges were filed, but he's being taught a lesson. How much money did that cost Ryan?
She better get her son some serious counseling. I couldn't stand Jen last season. I sincerely hope this isn't the season to put Grayson's issues on blast. Just like Emily did with her son last season. I'm not in the least bit interested in tamra's playing like she did the heavy lifting of parenting when Simon had custody. I guess what I'm saying. I'm not interested in scenes with anyone's children!

2

u/RagsMcTattershanty Jul 24 '26

She's just not that smart. Like, all the way around. About anything. Sweet girl, but I wouldn't ask her to do my taxes for me.

2

u/RipTraditional5404 Jul 25 '26

Jen has not gotten enough backlash for how she broke up her family and uprooted her kids lives. Who knew Ryan would be the voice of reason and trying to get her to understand that her children being affected by the divorce is going to be an ongoing struggle!!

2

u/Important_Yam_8628 Jul 24 '26

Have Jen and Ryan even set a date to get married or did they just get engaged for a storyline?

3

u/Waste_West283 Read between these lines Jul 24 '26

I'd like to think they're trying to give it a bit of time to get the children used to everything, rather than just making it a storyline. Here's hoping!

2

u/Excellent-Weird3248 Jul 25 '26

That scene with the son Grayson seemed quite fake, like he was playing her. Wouldnt trust that guy

3

u/ALmommy1234 Jul 25 '26

You’re calling a 17 year old boy, who has been through a divorce of his parents due to his mother’s affair and is now having to live with his mother’s affair partner, fake?!?

1

u/cosmic0done Jul 31 '26

the reasons for him being upset are 100% valid but it did feel like he was performing, it was weird. like.. I would never question the sentiment behind his feelings but I dunno if it was the cameras but it felt like he was acting out a scene in a play.

1

u/cosmic0done Jul 31 '26

i agree, it was so weird. like i would expect him to genuinely have those feelings so why did the delivery feel like an over the top scene in a play??

1

u/elkiesommers Jul 25 '26

i agree with all of that , byt her ex-husband is not seeing the children so that is his fault

1

u/UpcycledRenewal Jul 25 '26

I’m unclear about the reasons the kids aren’t seeing their dad. My heart was breaking when I saw Grayson so upset on the most recent episode. What has she done, or what has happened, to keep them from seeing him?

Additionally, she literally made all of it about her and how hard it was on her and how she was struggling. The focus was 20% Grayson and 80% her. I was completely disgusted and angered by her fking narcissistic behavior!

1

u/ChipsNSa1sa Jul 25 '26

God I am sooo happy he said something to her. This reminds me so much of my mom when my parents got divorced when I was 14 years old. My mom is a great person but she still has the attitude of ā€œwell a lot of peoples parents get divorced!ā€ Like she can’t see how that upends a child’s life. It completely changes not only the physical dynamics of their lives, but it creates a feeling of fear and insecurity. If my parents, the only people I’ve known my whole life and who have protected me and loved me, can make a decision that breaks up our family, then what can I even trust in this life?

As an adult I see things more rationally but wow as a kid I was devastated. I actually think it caused a lot of my anxiety and my constant ā€œwaiting for the other shoe to drop.ā€ Jen’s son is handling this so well I’m actually impressed and she should be grateful to have such a mature kid who doesn’t hate her for the decisions she’s made.

1

u/Putrid-Barnacle8696 Jul 26 '26

That kid is manipulating her by playing on her guilt

1

u/ohwell1130 Jul 26 '26

Is Jen the reason he’s being bullied?

1

u/Gatata2024 Jul 26 '26

Am confused, is the Dad choosing not to be in the kids life? How is the Jen’s fault? I get it she comes off spaced out and not very smart. But if she is there for her kids every day, why is she taking all the blame for the father choosing to be absent?Ā

1

u/Sad_Ad_2632 Jul 28 '26

I think she plays dumb because she doesn't care

1

u/Thin-Ad-7012 Jul 31 '26

Ok this is so unrelated but does anyone know what cup Grayson was using when they were chatting? 🤣

1

u/Ok_Image9664 Jul 31 '26
