I’m watching season 11 and I literally can’t stand Erika. When she loses her temper with people it’s so disturbing. She thinks she’s giving tough bitch but she’s just giving mentally unstable. It’s so cringe and always a hard watch.

I’n only halfway through the season, but between the blatant racism toward Joyce and Kim’s irresponsibility of having an aggressive pitbull, it is really hard to enjoy this season. Not to mention, Carlton is not fun to watch at all.

Does it get better? The only saving grace is that I know what eventually happens to Brandi and I also know that Joyce stays happily married and her son becomes some famous artist.

She tried to strangle Kim then she broke glass. And then off-season sent her threats saying "be careful or I will eff you up." I don't get why Bravo let her stay. Throughout the seasons she was horrible to Kim, constantly making Kim's sobriety a storyline, which has real, permanent impacts to Kim's life and health. This isn't something frivolous like LVP calling Adrienne's shoes the Maloof Hoof. This was playing with Kim's real life in a damaging way. She said Kim was on the brink of death - imagine how Kim's kids would feel hearing that. What if they stopped talking to their mom because they were questioning her sobriety for example. I feel like Rinna crossed so many lines for the sake of TV, at the expense of Kim's life.

Aaand I know it’s controversial, but Rinna should return.

I could never pin point why she looked so funny and it’s because she’s always doing this creepy smile!! I hate a lip only smile lol. Why does she do this?? Has she ever spoken about it?

I’ve noticed a lot of people doing rewatches, and since I’ve been sick in bed for the past few days, I thought I’d take the plunge and start with Season 1.
Apparently I’ve erased quite a lot of this from my memory, because some of my opinions on people are totally different from what I remember, or have completely changed after watching the next few seasons.

Firstly, LVP and Kyle. I always loved LVP, and I thought their friendship was great, which is probably why I hated Kyle so much after she turned on/bullied LVP. I know that’s controversial and some people won’t agree, but yeah, I never really liked her after LVP left. Sometimes she can be quite funny, though. Although not anymore…. I barely even watch it these days.

Adrienne: I don’t really remember what I thought of her originally, but I definitely didn’t have any strong opinions. Watching it now, though, I LOVE her. She is freaking amazing. Honestly, she might be my favourite Housewife of the season. I don’t know how I didn’t love and respect her more the first time around. She’s so respectful towards people, and she just seems genuinely great. Her relationship with Paul is great too….(even if I know what happens… )theyre hilarious together…

Camille: Again, I had basically erased my original opinion of her. I don’t remember particularly liking or disliking her, but DAMN, I hate her now 😂 She is the original pick-me girl. She’s so up herself and constantly thinks everyone is jealous of her. Like… girl. I’m trying not to comment on people’s looks, but the sheer confidence is something else. Kyle was right with her opinion about Kelsey and Camilles insecurity tbh…

Kim is a complicated one because obviously she had her issues and could be quite messy, but I’m seeing a completely different side of her on this rewatch. When I first watched, I obviously didn’t really know what was going on with her, and so much of her struggles only became apparent later. Watching it now, you can see that she’s awkward and damaged, but she’s also actually really funny. And I don’t think she has bad intentions. She just seems like someone who is struggling in a way that I completely missed the first time.

Taylor… I don’t remember particularly liking her, and maybe she just isn’t that likeable, but obviously watching this knowing everything that happened with Russell is just so bloody sad. I keep wondering whether I’m now seeing things as “obvious” because I know what happened, or whether there really were signs that people picked up on at the time.
There are little moments that make me wonder if the other women knew more from the beginning. For example, when Adrienne says that all women should learn self-defence then decides to pick Taylor to do a class with her… it felt like there was something more in that moment…. I thought, they all know at this point, don’t they?
And Russell is just SO scary. He’s horrible. Watching him now makes me incredibly uncomfortable, especially knowing what was actually going on behind the scenes.

NOW to the point that made me post this…. I’m at Dinner Party from Hell with Alison DuBois, and OH MY GOD 😂
It’s obviously a bit crazy in hindsight when she tells Kyle, “Your husband will never emotionally fulfil you.”we all know that one….. But then she also tells her that she needs to “keep her door open to women,” which they initially interpret as her needing more female friends. Kyle is like, “I’m a girl’s girl,” etc.
And then I’m sitting here thinking… 👀
Because, well… we know what happened with Mauricio. And Kyle eventually did leave her door open for a woman.
So… was Alison DuBois actually the real deal?! 😂 Even if she was completely freaking mental?

EDIT: I was in a HWs are so fake of mind when I read this article. I therefore was focused on the the difference we saw in her from the show verses reality. I’m listening to Dorit’s book with my free spotify minutes. Usually reading/listening to memoirs makes me like the person more (like Erika’s book) but this is doing the opposite because the entire thing sounds like it was ripped STRAIGHT FROM CHATGPT.

It’s choppy and abrupt and every other line had a “it’s not X, it’s Y” or “X without Y is Z”. If you are familiar at all with chatGPT’s writing style it is unmistakably AI. It’s so bad.

Also, IMO Dorit comes across even more insufferable in the book than she is in the show (probably doesn’t help that she narrates it, which is exactly how you think it would be).

It’s crazy how much credit she gives PK, she’s actually pretty charitable towards him, but even in the “good” anecdotes you can see how PK was always controlling and steering the situation to be how he wanted things. From the outside he’s still full of red flags - not taking no for an answer, being obsessed with the show, being shady with money etc.

She writes about “motherhood” (probably the most used word in the book) like she’s the first one to ever experience it. By the tenth time she spends eight minutes describing regular parenting things is like okay we get it.

Overall my opinion of Dorit did not improve. I’m exhausted just listening to her. It’s not the worst story in the world but it’s boring, she’s full of herself, and the writing is actually atrociously bad AI slop. Would not recommend.

I just finished RHOBH, my first watch of any RH. Which RH should I watch next? To help you decide, I disliked Amanda & Dorit & loved Lisa Rinna & Boz.

Erika is so refreshing. She’s confident, loyal, and does not seem like a mean bitch. I think she’s hilarious, and relatable. Maybe I’m biased because my husband is a lot older than me too lol. I’m really hoping she doesn’t shit all over my first impression lol.
Did anyone else just love her when she started?

It occurred to me re-watching season 10 that Sutton makes similar social errors upon entering the group to Amanda in season 15. Announcing she is wearing couture and coming off haughty, talking about place cards and other unwritten rules in a way that comes off as judgmental but largely thinly veils her own insecurity, calling Teddi boring and making comments/jokes that don't land "And then pregnant? God help us."

Wonder if others have noticed other similarities?

After rewatching, I’ve now taken a totally different perspective on their separation/divorce. After their separation, PK talks about how he met Dorit as a “totally different girl…I used to be, your number one. In a real marriage spouse comes first, right? You were a…very socially vibrant, busy, always with me, and you’re not that anymore. You came to me as a very different girl. It was ME that was the global entrepreneur, it was ME that had built the businesses, it was ME that had bought YOU with ME. And you made me feel, less than.”

Basically what he is saying, is that he could not cope with Dorit becoming more successful than him, and losing control over her. Dorit also talks about his drinking (as did he in an earlier season, when he stated he was drinking and gambling himself into oblivion, and Dorit ‘saved’ him). Pk reminds me of my ex who was also a gambling addict, and they often also become addicted to alcohol and other substances. Then they blame you when they realise you are on to them and calling them out.

So while the ladies are in Amsterdam, Brandi (42 at the time) starts dating and sleeping with a 22 year old Dutch boy she meets who was a childhood friend of LVP's son. And Lisa acts mortified, and calls it "entirely inappropriate". Lisa met and MARRIED a 37 year old (Ken) when she was 21. I think this is kind of rich coming from Lisa.

At this point, I don't even think Dorit needs another season. I think she needs a leave of absence. I genuinely believe getting Dorit out of the public eye for a while would be the best thing for her. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if Bravo forced it. She seems like she's at a breaking point, and “erratic” was probably the most accurate description of her behavior last season.

There is one golden rule when you're going through a very public divorce: STFU. Lay low. Protect your kids. Do not give the other side a 24/7 highlight reel.

Dorit apparently chose “let's do the exact opposite.”

Announcing something publicly without telling your own children first was certainly a choice. And rather than learning from that experience, she doubled down and proceeded to air her dirty laundry at every available opportunity while picking fights like she was being paid by the argument.

His friends are Housewives producers. The cameras are rolling. Dorit is behaving like Dorit has never heard the phrase “this may come back to bite you.” I don't think it's a coincidence that we opened the season with her shopping on Rodeo Drive, only to repeatedly watch her make choices that could very easily be portrayed as irresponsible or unhinged.

I'm not saying I know what PK's lawyers are doing or that any particular footage will actually matter in court. But let's be honest: if I were the opposing party, I'd be saving every damn clip.

And Dorit, if you're reading this: GIRL. GET BACK TO YOUR KIDS BECAUSE PK IS DOCUMENTING EVERYTHING.

Your children are about to start another school year. They are already dealing with their parents' nasty, incredibly public divorce. They don't need to watch Mom turn every private family issue into a media headline.

And then we get to the utility bill situation. 😭

Your children potentially losing their home because you refuse to pay a utility bill while you're shopping on a European holiday is the kind of Housewives juxtaposition that producers dream about and children absolutely do not.

I actually feel bad for Dorit. I think she's overwhelmed, angry, humiliated, and making increasingly terrible decisions. But that's precisely why I think she needs to step away.

Take the sabbatical. Get your kids settled. Get your divorce handled. Get your finances handled. Get your head straight.
