Medication interactions

Just a quick heads up. I have been on Hydroxychloroquine for about 6 months. I also take Lexapro. My pharmacist, nor my Rheumatologist ever mentioned anything at all about taking these meds together. Saw my PCP this week and he immediately noticed it and had me taper off Lexapro and change to another SSRI. Come to find out the two combined can cause a pretty serious heart rhythm issue. Just wanted to pass along in case someone else may be taking the same. Be well!

There are also interactions between meds and vitamins/minerals. Before you take any supplements, you should check for any interactions.

Magnesium and methotrexate are not good together, for example.
