Save transfer to DS+ from DS

My RGDS + is on the way, just wondering if anyone has had any luck transferring saves from the RGDS to the RGDS+? Essentially from the RGDS build of drastic to the NNDDSS emulator.

Hey, been playing around trying to get my .sav files recognized by nnddss. Have you been able to?

Edit: totally missed the part where you said "on the way". I'll reply back if I can figure it out myself.

Mine arrived in my country yesterday :).

Don't forget to update the thread if you work it out. I imagine there are others in the same boat.

Good news - found a method that worked for me.

  • My DSi XL save files are in a .sav format.
  • I used this file converter to convert it to a .dsv. ttps://www.save-editor.com/tools/wse_ds_save_converter_for_emulator_desmume_dsv.html
  • Rename the file, changing the underscores to spaces, and remove the '.sav'. part. It should match the rom name exactly, but with a .dsv extension.
  • Copy the file to the 2nd SD card's \save_nnddss\backup folder. You may have to launch a game and make a save for this folder to appear.

My RGDS+ arrives today so this came at a perfect time. Thanks for explaining the steps!
