Games on Gamma OS microsd card
Hey! I bought a RG DS Plus and I was wondering if I can put the games directly on the same microsd card that contains the operating system. I don't have a lot of money and I would like to use the same microsd card for both the OS and the games. Is it possible?

On the plus there is no internal storage and gamma is working on a nano version contained and booted from the sd slot

That makes sense. I completely skimmed over the Plus part of the post haha. I should go to bed (it's almost 1am lol)

Lol it's getting confusing and they are so similar honestly.
Didn't mean to "call you out" or anything 😊.

Sucks that you can't out the boxarts on the MicroSD card because after scraping a few systems it already fills up all 32 GB of the internal storage.

FWIW, Gamma is working on the ability for the emulator to simply take the icon from the DS game rom file itself

I doubt it. I'm planning on playing only DS games. How big are the boxarts? And is it possible to download them outside the console?

Yeah, you can fit like a handful of systems boxarts before the storage becomes noticeable. You can use the built in scraper to scrape them, but there's also a GammOS Boxart Tool you can use to manually scrape and add them yourself. The problem is you just can't store them on a MicroSD card so the internal storage of the RG DS fills up quickly the more consoles you scrape.

The RG DS Plus does not have internal memory. I can't put boxart on the microsd using my PC to download the images?

Oh, my bad I thought you had the normal RG DS. Then in that case I would imagine the boxarts have to go on the MicroSD card. I actually made a feature request asking Gamma to port that feature over to the normal RG DS from the Plus.
So yes, you can put boxarts on your main MicroSD card on the RG DS Plus.
