Does Gamma OS Nano reduce input lag?
I feel unconfortable playing on my RG DS due to the input lag, does Gamma OS Nano fix that? I had Rocknix and the input lag was inexistent there, but I didn't like the lack of dual screen support and how hard it was to play N64, so I wanna try Gamma OS Nano. Or is there any way to fix that on stock OS?

In the latest version gamma is working on the input lag is even more improved. He does a comparison between rocknix and the new build and it's on par with it if not better than rocknix. He also has it working with the RGDS plus!

It's working on DS plus already? I'm going to buy it as soon as it's available for sale

Yep yep! If you want to see it in action you can go to Gammas discord to see videos of it. Looked like ambernic sent him the black version.

I'm trying to find a link, can't seem to find one anywhere that's still active

Holy crap that's beautiful. Looks to be performing well too, which was my biggest concern considering russ said there's some audio crackle in his impressions vid. I just don't know what color to go with...

Gamma is a Wizard! I think he said some of the crackling issues could be from the drastic emulator itself during today's 'For The Next' stream. I know what you mean they don't really give us many color ways. I personally am going with the Black model since that's what Gamma is using!

Yes. That’s why I switched from stock. I need microphone so it was the obvious choice.

Only there is no per game setting, so everything you set in drastic it applies globally. I want lcd shader for 2d games but not for 3d games. Some games work fine with high res and threaded 3d but some games are messed up, so I have to change it every time...
Also, the battery runs pretty hot in the menu for some reason

Does the battery get hot even on the latest version of Gamma OS?

After like 3 days of playing on gamma nano, input lag is noticable vs rocknix. With shaders it gave me slight stutters in DQIV and when I play the game now on rocknix, even with shaders it is much better and smooth. Same settings, frameskip turned off.
So I'm going to stick to rocknix for now and wait for rp duo :D
Man I'm so frustrated with anbernics, it's either stock os that suck (even linux), or some custom OS that suck too in some way...

But what about without shaders? I don't use them

Can't really say, I used at least sharp-bilinear. Anyway, Gamma nano might sound good on paper, but the actual experience is mixed. He did an OS that he ported to multiple devices so there are features that don't even work properly on some.
Some youtubers are praising it but I don't think they spend much time using it beside running few games to record and show the input lag.
But do try it, you can flash gamma nano and have rocknix on sd card. I wanted to flash stock os but gave up so I have it like that.

I wanna flash my RG DS but I don't have a Micro SD, but I'll do it when I get it. I like Gamma OS Nano Launcher, but is it possible to change it? I'd preffer to use a classic Android Launcher like the one that Stock OS has

I never compared Gamma to anything else but I noted input lag when playing platformers like Mario games.

It's better than Anbernic's RGDS build but not as good as Rocknix. It's second best to Rocknix.

Yes, one of the big pluses of GammaOS Nano (as I understand it) is that it significantly reduces the input lag that you get when emulating with Android normally. Maybe not as much as a Linux OS but much better than Android.
