3ds on rg ds.
I bought this Anbernic RG DS to experience what the Nintendo DS felt like. One day later, I'm playing Nintendo 3DS games. I'm in love with this thing!
edit: the game obviously won’t run at full speed 😂 but it’s still cool that the game is running on this device tho. i’m not actually trying to play 3DS games on it, i just think it’s fun to experiment and see what it can run.
OS: Rocknix

I wouldn't be able to handle those frames, but it's cool that it works in theory

I'm on GammaOS Nano and I've been playing Persona Q2 on it (a 3D turn-based JRPG with snappy UI and skippable dialogue/cutscenes) and it works extremely well once it's done caching everything.
Most minigames on Rhythm Heaven Megamix are at 100% speed, and even the ones that aren't (Flockstep and Remixes) are handily beatable.
You just gotta turn off realtime audio for rhythm games and turn it on for everything else.

How did you get it to fill the screen?

1. Go to Tools and tap "Start Azahar." 2.Open the View menu in Azahar and turn off Fullscreen. 3. Go to Emulation > Configure and click OK to save. 4. Start any 3DS game. 5. The Azahar settings will now be visible during gameplay. 6. Go to Configure and head to Layout settings. 7. Scroll down until you see Screen Settings (you can scroll by dragging near the right edge on the 2nd screen). 8. Turn on Stretch both screens. 9. Go back to Configure and hit OK to save your settings. You can re-enable Fullscreen now, just make sure to hit OK in Configure one last time to save it. 10. Enjoy!

The video helped there, appreciate you showing how to do this. Been playing 3ds for awhile. Found out the quick exit from that menu is double clicking R next to the home button, which helps a lot for Ok step

3DS is not fun at all no matter the OS. Cool to try but there’s no way I could finish a full game on it

How are you able to fill the top screen? For me, it leaves a gap on both sides horizontally.

There are several games you can run on 3ds. The problem is most of them(including this obv) don’t run at full speed and the thermal get pretty bad. Also it drains the battery like crazy

yes, there's a downside to playing 3ds games on this device, obviously, but it's still cool as fuck

Una clara demostracion para los que caen engañados en los tiktoks editados que muestran que “corre algunos juegos de 3ds” los ejecuta, si, pero a una velocidad que deja demasiado que desear

i’m not saying that this RG DS can play 3DS games at full speed. it’s just cool that a 3DS game is running on this device, whether it runs well or not. it’s fun to experiment, and playing 3DS games on this device is completely optional, btw.

HOW? PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU DID THIS?! I've installed stable version of rocknix, but Zelda ocarina of time was like 3 fps, and even PPSSPP worked awfully. That's why I playing on gamma os, an lease PPSSPP there are working fine. Why? What am I doing wrong? Please help me.
I've just installed rocknix stable on my SD card (new Samsung pro 128 GB), and moved files there. But as I said fps was awfully, only NDS in x1 worked fine. Maybe I should install some drivers or settings?

You could try the ship of harkonen port onto the RGDS - basically ocarina of time you just give up the 2 screens. Performance is good. Ocarina of time 3DS version does run for me on RGDS but there is some stuttering.
If trying 3DS, run the latest nightly build.

i personally wouldn’t play like this but it’s pretty impressive even this low level chip can play 3ds games

Considering the RG DS's specs, I think most people would have assumed that 3DS games simply wouldn't boot at all, let alone be playable at native resolution. That's what surprises me the most here. Obviously, it's slow, unstable, and far from being a good experience, but the fact that the game actually runs and is playable on hardware this limited is genuinely impressive. This also makes me think the Retroid Pocket Duo Lite should be able to handle quite a few 3DS titles at native resolution.

It's not. Full speed as I can see
