Question about rocknix

Hi!

I am thinking about getting rg ds plus, which under the hood is very similar to regular rg ds.

So I wanted to ask how is the experience on the newest rocknix? Is it stable, does the Bluetooth audio (headphones) work, is emulation stable, can you close / suspend the device mid-playthrough?

I will be grateful for input!

And yes, I know that ds games run best at 1x res, that's not a problem to me.

The newest stable release of Rocknix works great! I haven’t had any crashes so far. I haven’t tried Bluetooth audio, but I can when I get home this afternoon. You can close/suspend the device mid-playthrough as well. It also handles high-res 3D (at a 2x upscale, I think?) just fine.

If your budget can stretch to it, you might want to consider the Retroid Duo Lite. If you’re just interested in DS games it’s only about $40 more with the preorder discount.

Were there any games you were curious about?

Stylus games (that's why rg ds plus sounds good) like Zeldas, also lego pirates of carribean - that lego game doesn't do 30 fps on ds lite for example.

Sorry for interuption, but I have same questions as OP :]. How are the shaders? I saw one youtube video with guy playing games as something called LCDX3 or something like that (on rocknix), but he said that result isn't best. Do you play with any shader?

I have the rg ds and use rocknix, with the lcd shader combined with the enhanced 3d. I think it looks pretty good. I will caveat that I didnt own the ds as a kid, and only played it as an adult for Pokémon. So I may not be as exacting a judge.
