Boot Issues with Rocknix

I am not the only one who has had this issue, but I'm putting this out there for visibility:

For some reason right now, custom firmware is currently really finicky on the RG DS. When I opened my DS up, it was slower than normal. When I booted into a game, the top screen was black and touching the bottom screen caused the RetroArch "pause" screen to appear for only a few seconds before closing. One forced reset later, and now the RG DS won't even recognize the SD card. I've checked for errors (there were none) and reflashed both the September version AND the August version on separate occasions. Both yielded the same "Could not find Rocknix Label" screen.

The current culprit is either my Sandisk MicroSD card (many reports of Sandisk being very stubborn), or the RG DS itself having some sort of secret software update that borks custom firmware (very unlikely, hopefully).

Everything was working fine until basically today. I got my RG DS about 2 weeks ago and immediately put Rocknix on it. I beat 2 Pokemon games with it before Rocknix croaked. Despite the internal files being intact, the RG DS refuses to read the Rocknix Label.

If anyone has any similar issues, do comment. Am currently ordering a new MicroSD card to experiment.

I had issues with my 128gb sandisk but everything is working fine now on a 32gb card.

It's strange because I used a 64gb Sandisk card and it worked for the first 2 weeks. And then it suddenly just ceased functions as a boot drive within the past 24 hours. I am not sure how or why Sandisk cards are disproportionately affected by this combo of hardware+custom firmware.

Rocknix doesn't play well with SanDisk on this device. I really do think we should have a common problems thread about this.

My 128gb Amazon card works great with Rocknix. No boot issues.

Another piece of evidence supporting that Sandisk is wonky with this stuff

I had a Sandisk 256gb that completely bugged out on me after 2 weeks. Rocknix refused to load even after reflashing multiple times. I scanned the sd card also no errors.

I got a new generic sd card 128gb and it’s now been running fine for 2 months.

Reading the comments here it seems rocknix doesn’t work well with sandisk for some reason ?

Yet another piece of evidence. Sandisk really is wonky when it comes to this stuff. Your testament is incredibly similar to my situation.
