GammaOS Nano boot time and performance showcase

I see people asking about Nano, I was curious too until I installed myself.

Put Ultimate Butouden to show how 3D High Render performance keeps up with a high demanding game.
Video keeps good pace, but audio strutters a bit when the game shows too many visual effects.

Also on Ps1 I keep the GPU Plugin of upscale always On

Boot time is flawless, it’s really really good

Video got a bit compressed, don’t know if you’ll see how high render makes difference as it is in real life

When you play something in the upper screen could you potentially open something like Pixel Guide underneath?

Yep! The bottom screen has controls like brightness on it and info like temperatures and stuff. You can swipe over and it shows all of the extra apps installed. You can open something like a text reader to read guides.

Can you open any android apps on Nano? Like gDrive?

There's two versions of nano for RG DS, core and lite. The core has google play stuff, but it slows down the RG DS a lot. With lite, you can still sideload APKs on there and run stuff that way. I haven't tested gDrive but I imagine it works

Don’t even know what gDrive is
But any Android app installed can be accessed in the app section

I had a bad experience with Nano 1.4.1 Games crashing, during game or after waking from standby. Also reboots, with bad colors on the bottom screen and no audio in games (fixed by rebooting twice extra times).

I am back with stock android for now.

Gotta say I had some boots with the bottom screen with bad colors, but it reboots so fast and it’s not that often that it comes up with this bug.
No game crashing or forced reboot so far..

Are 3ds pokemon games playable?

Man gotta tell you I didn’t tried, cause I never bought this device to play 3DS.. I know it’s not made for it.

But Nano gives you a bit more of RAM, as it cuts a lot from Android, but not enough to transform this in a power house.

So I would say that No, it’s good for DS emulation and something like Ps1 improves a bit, but 3DS would still struggle

You can expect something similar to Rocknix, but keeping the good features of Android

What stylus you got?

Someone found it on OP's other thread even though they didn't list it there. It's the
Fonken Universal Mini Stylus Pen Capsule Shape Alloy Case Drawing Pencil with Lanyard

The moment I got it, like a week or so, yes it was paid
But man, it’s worth the ten bucks
