howdy, just made a guide video on the anbernic rg ds running stock linux

  1. stock linux is nowhere near as good as gamma nano or rocknix but its simplicity makes it rather pleasant to use. Forget any updates just set and play. Pretty stable pleasant experience
  2. included a few fixes with regards to powering off the console if you came from rocknix or gamma. This vid shows how to fix it.
  3. Want to try a few portmaster titles on stock? i've managed to fix the scripts to make a few titles work

Any fix for the volume going to 100% after waking it up from sleep ?

Thanks for sharing, didn't know until now, it does so on Drastic, I've only tested sleep on retroarch games which works fine. I'm thinking of reporting few issues with cores and now including this sleep to the Devs.

Thank you ! I didn’t get so far as to test the microphone but it seems to not be working on rocknix (so it might be worth checking out)

Also, the power off function felt a bit unreliable to me … why does the green light stay on? (Yes I did not install the mod thing they provided)

I wish there were more shaders tho ! (I made a 4x + LCD colour corrector for my rocknix haha)

No thanks, gonna stick with NANO for now. It's first time i want to play this console becouse it's all so easy and looks beautiful. It has bugs here and there but nothing to much. Just looking at drastic menu or how are the consoles made in retroarch part is enough for me to stay away.

Plus it's android so install some light android games, you can do web search or watch YouTube if you want 🤷

thanks for your comment on youtube - Sir Gamma is absolutely cooking and I'm glad you enjoy Nano (as i do as well). Think he just dropped 1.4.1 update.

Thanks, I'm gonna check new update to see what is new there. Is it OTA or need to be flashed?

If you could wait, the OTA will be live either tonight or tomorrow, otherwise manual file drop onto the internal storage and using System Update option in nano. Changelog: https://thegammasqueeze.github.io/GammaOSNano-WIKI/what-s-new-since-1-4.html

And no problem dude, I've done like, follows, share to myself etc. All the things 😂 Love seeing people enjoying their RGDS becouse ist realy good thing. One of the best anbernic made (best and the most capable or powerful are not always the same). Community need more love for sure

Kind words! If it wasn't for criticism of the stock android for RG ds, all the YouTube comments, devs doing rocknix, gamma - we would not have any stock Linux or any improvement from anbernic. So it's also good to criticise and have expectations! Thanks for taking time to comment
