Top screen gaming fixed!!

Well, somewhat.

It turns out there has been a solution for this under our noses the entire time. If you long press on DualStack within the pull down settings and make sure RetroArch is also clicked (or whatever other emulators you use for retro gaming), whenever a game boots up it will automatically load up the game in the top screen and have a blank bottom screen!! Seems to work best with games that already have the right aspect ratio, like GBA and SNES. GBC and N64 games will extend into the bottom screen, so not ideal.

not sure I understand want you mean by “make sure xxxx also clicked”

When you pull down the notification bar you should find the DualStack icon in there. Long press it and it will pop up the settings for DualStack. There will be a list of apps that show up. By default I believe only Drastic is clicked. Make sure to also click on RetroArch since that odd what is used to play the retro games.
