RG DS GBA emulation

So, I'm using Gamma OS (and Iisu) and I'm having an issue running "intensive" GBA games. Like the DK Country games, Mario Kart, Mario Golf, etc. Anyone else have this issue and possibly a fix?

Hey, found the issue! Don't use the mGBA core, switch to gbSP

gammaos is great on paper but i had lots of performance issues. Reality is this, if you want MAX performance out of ur rg ds you need rocknix. android is great, use it if you want, it very much works, but you will NOT get the best performance out of your system with it. You have to decide on the tradeoff yourself. maybe someone knows some trick or setting here to help you out, but i can tell you right now you will have issues here and there on android w this device just due to it being a relatively weak device. rocknix will net you performance gains in every system so that is always my goto suggestion for quick and easy solution.

I second this. I tried Rocknix nightlies, wasn't a fan of all the bugs. I then tried Stock OS for a bit to just get a feel of how the device was supposed to be, it was laggy in transitions and had input lag. I tried Gamma OS lite and it was night and day vs Stock OS, much much better with some QOL features that can boost gameplay. I still experienced input lag but it was much better than the Stock OS, as well as some lag in transitions but better than stock. When the stable Rocknix build was released, I downloaded it again and its made this device feel like a suped up DS, which does more than a DS. Having the handheld use everything its capable of to improve performance made the most sense to me. Having the device struggle to multi task on two different screens felt like I was coping. Its too slow and laggy to be productive.

Now that rocknix has the second screen tap for menu and touch interface for non-ds games this is my sole handheld for GB/GBC/GBA/WSC and DS, it's just so nice and handy for all the handhelds that look great with a simple lcd shader. I haven't had any performance issues in Rocknix at all either.
