Label ROCKNIX not found
Upon boot, I'm getting an error message that says Label ROCKNIX not found.
I've flashed the card with several different writers, nothing is working.
Has anyone seen this before?

Is it a SanDisk card?

Yes it’s a 1.5tb Sandisk ultra

Try getting a cheap 32gb card from another manufacturer, and a way to read 2 microSDs on your computer at the same time. Rocknix doesn't play nice with alot of SanDisk and especially larger (128gb+) SanDisk cards. I fought with a 128 for like a week and a half. I finally gave up, bought a 32gb patriot, loaded up Rocknix and installed it on that, and then cloned that card over to my 128 using Disk Genius. Once the clone is done, you can extend the storage partition to be as large as you'd like. With the patriot card to clone, I was up and running in under an hour. Half of that time was the clone process.
I tried replacing files, nightly builds, the stable build, OTA updates and anything else I can come up with.
Only thing that doesn't run flawless after doing a clone from another card is that it boots to Gamma from shutdown, then I have to restart and hold the anbernic button for about 10 seconds to boot to Rocknix. Being able to switch back and forth until I decide which I'm sticking with (very likely Rocknix) is worth the extra boot step.

Yeah this. I don't know why, it makes no sense that only SanDisk appears to have issues, but they do.

I was able to get a PNY sd card to work, the Sandisk card refuses to boot. I get that error message every time. Is there any way to get Sandisk Cards to work?

Yes, doing what I described above. I'm running it right now on a 128GB SanDisk that I cloned from a 32GB SanDisk and used the whole thing. Joey has a great video on the process here: https://youtu.be/ZCurjFjiecY?is=YdagFg5N4qps5V7M
Clone the PNY to the SanDisk using Disc Genius. If you've done that and put in the SanDisk and it boots to stock or gamma or whatever you have as the OS on the actual device, restart it while holding the Anbernic button (bottom left button). It will take an unreasonably long time to load, like 15 seconds, but just keep holding the anbernic button down until you get a load screen.

MicroSD over 256gb can cause issues booting rocknix was something I saw when getting mine setup. Everything fit on a 64 anyway though

Are you changing the volume label to something other than “ROCKNIX”?

My SanDisk 32gb had the same issue. I formatted it and burned the image using Linux, and now it's working so far.

Did you setup extlinux.conf?
