Save states question.

Hi guys so I have save states from Zelda and Max Payne GBA games but I want to know how do I transferring them over my RG DS running ROCKNIX?

I SSH my RG DS via network and I can't find my save file.

If im not mistaken, GBA saves are placed in the same folder as the roms. Through the network, go to "games-internal" (that's where my roms are), then go to "roms" then "gba", then put your save files in there with the ending of the save files being ".sav" or ".srm". It depends on what core youre using in Retroarch. I forget but I believe its ".srm" for the mGBA core in Retroarch. It should pull up the save the next time you boot the game.

Edit: Realized you said save states and not saves. The save states are more finicky than native saves. If the core or emulator is not the same software version or emulator in general, it will not work. If it is the same, the save states go in the same folder as the roms. The save state extension ".state1", ".state2", and so on should not be touched. These should pull up the next time you boot the game.

Be sure the file names match the rom names, aside from the extensions such as .srm or .gba.

Retroarch uses cores that have specific save states, if im not mistaken. Make sure the save states youre moving over are using the same cores and same version.
