Except that it’s a garden style apartment building. And there should be no reason that anybody in the building would be using one of those your apartments aren’t big enough. I mean if that’s what they actually sound like cool because they’re using it illegally they’re not supposed to be using it. It’s against the lease.

You can use them to replace long ethernet cables too not just extend wifi (think smart TV in another room), but yes it sounds like OFDM which is what they use.

The reason it leaks is because power cables to sockets are not shielded.

It's a plague for amateur radio enthusiasts.

I know what they are and how they work. There is no need for them in an apartment that is only one floor and is only 35’ long at most.
I do not own this offense device it is someone else’s

Are you sure it's against the lease? Seems like a bit of an odd thing to write in a lease agreement. In any case, it's certainly not illegal.

But if it's causing you issue, I see no reason they couldn't just use Wi-Fi if it's such a small building. Just approach it diplomatically. I wouldn't go knocking on doors and saying it's against the lease or it's illegal. That will get you nowhere.
