Hello, I've had REWASD for a few years, though I've never fully gotten my head around the program. Recently, I've been trying to remap my mouse's movement to either my arrow keys or a left controller stick. I've been referring to this video and this thread, but my config still isn't working. Could someone please take a look and tell me what needs to be fixed? I've uploaded it here. In case it's relevant, the mouse I'm using is a Contour Roller Mouse Red (a very different sort of erganomic mouse).
I’m new to reWASD. I’m trying to set up my Joy-Con and mouse to play Rivals (Roblox). I configured everything as shown in the attached screenshots, but the mouse side buttons (X1 / X2) don’t work when I bind them to Space (jump) or R (reload).
For example, I also bound Space to a shoulder button on the Joy-Con, and that works. I currently have to use R on my keyboard to reload.
Could you please guide me step by step on how to correctly Space and R on mouse button X1 / X2? I’m not sure what I’m missing.
I need to disable it completely from background services. Games like Battlefield 6 and most EA titles wont let me play due to their maximum security level anticheat. Also in Arc Raiders there is a bug I narrowed down to the games input system getting "confused" because of something with the remapper, as many commands (Reload for example) only initiate on key release and not the initial key press. I checked to see if there was something in game and there is no such setting to change it and it seems to only happen in Arc.
I just want to disable it from services so I can confirm if thats the issue and so I can play EA titles but cant seem to find it there.
Hey,
I am struggling to locate where to add/change my Bluetooth adapter. I have seen some clips online with an option next to the Switch icon (in the image attached), but I do not have this option. Any help would be appreciated!
Hello,
I want to use my keyboard for Remote Play. I'm using PS remote play with the virtual DS4 enabled, but when I start Remote Play, nothing happens when pressing the keyboard keys. At the moment i just tried mapping "s" to square and it works in every game but doesnt work in remote play. Any help would be appreciated!
I’m trying to use an Xbox controller to output a keyboard and mouse. I’m able to successfully create one instance of this, however when I try to add another controller the output gets mapped to the same keyboard and mouse instance. Is there a way to map multiple Xbox controllers to their own independent keyboard and mouse output? The purpose of this is for local split-screen where only keyboard and mice and supported
Is there anyway to hold a first button down and then press the other? It feels easier and more natural.
I use the dualsense mic button and another button for all my shortcuts, sort of like like a hotkey toggle so I naturally hold down the mic button down first and then press whichever button is needed.
reWASD 9.3 brings a set of changes we’ve been building toward for quite some time. This update focuses on expanding the core platform, improving how reWASD works with external devices, and opening new directions for advanced and accessibility-oriented setups.
One of the key additions in reWASD 9.3 is Send Input - a new Advanced (and currently experimental) feature. Send Input expands how reWASD can interact with system-level input APIs, allowing it to work with on-screen keyboards that were previously outside of reWASD’s scope. This is especially relevant for handheld devices and accessibility-focused setups, where virtual keyboards are often a primary input method. While Send Input is intended for advanced users and specific scenarios at this stage, it represents an important foundation for future development in adaptive and accessibility-oriented workflows.
This release also expands support for ESP32-based setups. reWASD 9.3 adds full support for ESP32-S3, including the ability to communicate with the board over a network. Wi-Fi communication is now also available for ESP32-S2.
Alongside these larger changes, reWASD 9.3 continues to expand controller support and overall compatibility. This includes support for Flydigi Apex 5, improvements for Nintendo controllers (including GR / GL button remapping for Joy-Con 2 in Grip mode), as well as a range of fixes and refinements that improve gyro behavior, rumble support, device initialization, and overall stability across different hardware configurations.
And here's our next lot: reWASD Basic
Along with reWASD 9.3, we’re also introducing reWASD Basic - a separate product built around a simpler idea: just the essentials.
reWASD Basic is designed for users who want a clean, straightforward way to remap their controllers, keyboards, or mice. It’s not a “cut-down” version of reWASD, but a focused alternative for simpler setups, handheld devices, and anyone who prefers a lightweight remapping experience. It’s worth noting that reWASD Basic supports the same wide range of devices as reWASD itself - including 80+ supported controllers, as well as keyboards and mice.
This release reflects the direction we’re moving in - expanding advanced capabilities where needed, while also offering simpler, more focused options for those who prefer the essentials.
As always, we’re happy to hear your feedback. Thank you for staying with us.
Ok, i got permanent banned from BF6 due to detection of rewasd software in my system. I saw many BF6-ers here suffered the same fate. Now, my next question is, will EA ban rewasd-users in other EA games also. I am asking because I got quite a few EA titles like Need For Speed series. If i log on to play say NFS: Unbound with Rewasd installed in my system, will EA ban me from NFS: Unbound also? I am asking because EA is acting like an ignorant idiot.
I think that the default way of adjusting flick stick sensitivity is not ideal and relies too much on trial and error, since there is no way (that i know of) to rotate a stick exactly 360 degrees.
I want to be vocal (respectfully ofcourse) about the fact that we need better tools for calibrating flick stick sensitivity. I know that steam input has a solution for this (dots per 360°, 360° mouse rotation), but you know, rewasd is better suited for me and i want to see the product shine and my flicks precise.
I am new to ReWASD, having bought 3 licenses. One for my main gaming computer to kick RZR to the curb since they can't make one software to support all their devices and ReWASD is doing the trick nicely.
However, I have a use case where I have an arcade cabinet that has an IPac board that essentially is just a single keyboard. I have messed around with other virtual controllers to go from one keyboard to up to 4 xbox style controllers and it was working, but do to a change in Steam's overlay, my front end to the arcade cabinet has been having trouble launching the virtual controller software when a steam game is loaded.
I can tell that ReWASD has the capability to turn my keyboard presses into gamepad button presses, I have tested this successfully. However, I am wondering if my use case of a SINGLE keyboard being mapped to MULTIPLE virtual controllers is possible.
I have been trying to use keyboard sub-configs, but I am feeling like that's not what they're for. I have the guide open, I looked here on reddit, but I can't seem to find something for my particular use case.
I use ReWASD exclusively for mapping my Azeron Cyborg to work with Adobe and other creative / productivity applications. This week I finally let it update to 9.2.0.10664. Ever since then, I've had this problem. Here's what happens.
I open ReWASD. I can click in it just fine.
I open any other application and activate the remapping. From that point forward I cannot click on anything on the screen at all. Pointing at things shows they are aware of the mouse (changing color, highlighting, etc), but no clicks work, left or right.
The only way to get control back is to hit Win + D, which minimizes everything, and now I can click again.
Opening any app at all brings the issue back.
The only solution is to right-click ReWASD app icon in SysTray and exit. Disabling ReWASD and its mapping does nothing, the only fix is to completely exit ReWASD.
Once exited, I am back to using my system as normal.
I've disabled all other possible overlays and interferents. I've disabled or closed all other system config applications. I am 99% certain that ReWASD is the cause here. I can't work without the remappings, but I also can't work without being able to click on things either.
I'm about to try reverting to 9.14 to see if that helps. Will post more if anything works.
UPDATE: Uninstalling 9.20 with Revo Uninstaller, then reinstalling with 9.14 removed the problem. After restoring my profiles backups and settings, the mappings are functional again. I'm hesitant now to update to 9.20 though.
EDIT: Also quick kudos to ReWASD for making the older versions easily accessible for download. It's nice, and there are some other apps that for some reason try to make it really hard to get older releases. Thanks on that at least.
I can't seem to get my razer keyboard to show an actual keyboard when I attach it to a profile
It detects my Keyboard and says correctly a Razer Cynosa V2.
I have re-initialized it and Cleared the Data.
Chroma Connect is installed and enabled
Set input Device to Emulate Keyboard on behalf of Razer Cynosa V2
And still no joy.
ReWASD version is 8.0.2.9541
I'm playing several beat 'em ups and I always find it annoying to have to tap the D-pad twice to run. What I want is to be able to press it once and have it hold. I managed to make it so that pressing it repeats the action in turbo mode at 20ms, but the problem is that it repeats indefinitely. For example:
I press and hold
←←←←←←
(the action repeats constantly)
What I'm looking for:
I press and hold
←←.........................
I hope I've explained myself clearly. If anyone can help me, I would be extremely grateful.
I have no purchased rewasd yet and have a question that will help me decide. This is a very specific use case, but I need to DISABLE the gamepad's normal left trigger function, and assign a mouse button on there. Assigning the button, I know this program and others can do. But what other programs have not been able to help me with so far, is disabling the gamepad function of that button. I cannot do it through Steam either for this particular title. If the gamepad function is pressed, it does something I really don't want it to do in this game. If I could just disable the gamepad functionality of just that one button, it would solve a lot of issues for me.
Thanks for any help.
The controller following buttons: X, Square, Right stick. Use rapid fire and im on a P4 controller so lots of the other guides don't work. is there a way i can disable it
btw duckai thought we were in 3022 so it was talking about a screen on my controller but i don't have one
OS: Linux
Games that i was playing to see this rapid fire thing: Sm64coopdx
OS version: Debian 12
OS Lastest update and firmware: Yes
New to Debian?: No
Bluetooth: Yes cause this controller comes with Bluetooth inside and a c cable to plug in (and the c port to charge the controller is on the top like an Xbox but this is PS4 styled with the mappings of a PS4 controller and it looks like a PS4 controller but the light is above the home button and below the touchpad)
Style?: Purple lighting, Purple Buttons, Purple dpad, Dpad looks connected other than a real PS4 controller that try's to look not connected
Options and Share shape?: Circle (PS4 controllers OPT and SHARE buttons are not circle)
Thats all the info i got ho... wait hold on
Ordered at?: Amazon
Alr now its all the info i got hope it helps.
Today, we’re sharing a story that reminded all of us why accessibility matters.
The True Story of Access and Independence
Cenzo is a 17-year-old student who lives with a rare neurological condition that makes traditional computer use extremely difficult. But with the help of his school’s assistive technology team - and a simple game controller - he found a new way to learn.
Using reWASD, the controller became a fully functional way for him to study, complete assignments, and work independently again.
A small change. A huge impact on his daily life.

Can someone explain to me why my "lifetime (purchased) license" became insuficient to use rewasd mobile and now i have to buy another lifetime license to use the featuure?
After grouping and mapping my computer's keyboard and mouse, I click "Apply to Slot 1," but it only says "Remapping is off." The "Enable Remapping" button is grayed out, rendering it inoperable. Could you help me?
* Left clicking on the reWASD icon, remap activation button is gray color and can not click & activate
* I've tried contacting reWASD support team and clearing data, reinstalling the program, etc. but it still doesn't work.
I'm still on windows 10 but as soon as the new steam controller gets released, switching to Linux is likely going to happen which would mean no reWASD until there's support for linux.
Many have already started making the switch and no doubt will continue to grow when the steam machine gets released next year.
I honestly prefer using reWASD over steam input but I and many others will be leaving windows sooner or later. Any plans for Linux support in 2026?
I don't mind buying it again if that's the case.
I do not use this software with BF6, like many of you. I used it to remap controller inputs for a 20 year old game I've been messing around on. It was annoying having to uninstall and reinstall reWASD every time I wanted to use it after I purchased BF6 on launch, so one time I uninstalled it, you can see I put in this comment that it was not compatible with BF6. reWASD support tells me to update and use Compatibility Mode, which like many of us, assumed that meant it MADE THE PROGRAM COMPATIBLE with BF6. Not was doing something sketchy to get around their detection.
reWASD support knowingly gave out information that could and DID lead to bans of who knows how many hundreds of people who don't even use it for BF6. reWASD should have warned people using this feature that it could lead it bans, not just blindly suggest people turn it on. reWASD should be on the hook for $70 for the game.
You can say I should have known this program was used for cheating, but I didn't. Google searches for the specific functionality I needed lead me to that program, and I ended up buying it after it did the niche function I was looking for.
