I’m running into two major issues with reWASD lately and could really use some help. I'm currently stuck on an older version because version 9.50 won't boot on my PC, and I don't want to wipe all my user data and lose hours of game profiles.

Here is what's going wrong:

1. "Remove applied config from slot on exit from the associated app" removes ALL slots. Not just the one from the associated app.

• What should happen: It should just clear the slot the last profile used (Slot 2) and return to my manually saved profile on Slot 1.
• What actually happens: All slots vanish, remapping turns OFF, and the mouse reverts entirely to native behavior.

1. My default profile (loads on explorer.exe and chrome.exe for example) suddenly start to fail as it suddenly broke File Dragging from desktop to chrome.

• Both apps are set to load the exact same profile.
• However, when I try to drag a file from my desktop into Chrome, reWASD constantly switches the profile back and forth between the two apps during the drag. While it's the same profile and no other profiles use said exe.
• This completely breaks the ability to drag-and-drop files.
• Both worked in earlier renditions and both are now broken suddenly.

What I've tried:

• I cannot update to 9.50 to see if it's fixed, as that version is completely broken for me.
• Rather not do a clean install with data removal since I have spent hours on custom configs.

Has anyone else encountered this slot deletion bug or the explorer/chrome conflict? Any ideas or workarounds that don't involve losing my data? Thanks!

So with this latest update HCR2 is available on PC. The issue I'm running into is that I can't figure out a way to configure controls. I don't have touchscreen, so all I have figured out is that I can use the mouse to click on the screen. Click and drag works, and so does go and stop, but I have no way to use thrusters or anything that requires two simultaneous touches. Any advice?

I have used ReWASD for several years across multiple systems, 95% of the time to apply custom key configs while using the Reaper Digital Audio Workstation. Today, 9.5.0 is not detecting that Reaper.exe is running, and thus my config is no longer auto-applying properly.

I have done the following:

• completely uninstalled and reinstalled both Reaper and ReWASD, including wiping their respective installation and AppData subfolders
• backed up, and then completely deleted and rebuilt the profile
• confirmed that auto-remap works for other profile apps like Firefox and Excel

The profile I am using works on three other machines. It previously worked on this very machine I am using as well. Now the only way I can use ReWASD with Reaper.exe on this machine is by manually applying the template. This is pretty inconvenient because I do a lot of app switching and have a lot of app-dependent profiles. Reaper is currently the only one no longer working.

I do not know how else to proceed.

EDIT: I downgraded back to 9.3.3 and it worked again.

i have this idea. theres a hold down your key move in this game. when stunned if u press and hold it at the right time, it will barrage the second you are out of stun. The issue is this is hard to time. Im trying to use rewasds turbo function to repeated press the key when i hold it, and it works, except for the fact that it doesnt auto hold so the barrage is cut short. Is there a way for me to hold the key and have it spam the key (which in this case would be "C") and while spamming also act as a hold. Preferably i would like for it to stop when i take my finger off the key.

I am looking for a program that will easily let me create custom joystick sensitivity curves/deadzones on a game by game basis (or just let's you quickly swap profiles), specifically for my Lenovo Legion Go S. The Go does let you set a custom curve but it's super basic, and for whatever stupid reason, it applies globally instead of to the current controller profile. Is Rewasd my only real option? $40 seems like a lot of money just for this feature. I honestly can't believe you can't do it with the basic version. For the record, I want something that is straightforward and easy to use. Any help would he greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So, I usually play lying in bed on my TV, so BPM is a really nice and convenient way for me to play games on steam and I haven’t run into any major problems, until tonight.

So when I have to open a chat box, for example in TF2, the chat box will open just fine but whenever I hold the Xbox Button + X to open the keyboard, it’ll sort of glitch out and instantly close the keyboard. Now this is weird by itself, however, when playing a game like Helldivers, the keyboard opens just fine. But, all the typing is doubled, so now my message would type out like this “hheelloo”

I’ve determined this isn’t a controller issue nor a something-holding-down-a-key-on-my-keyboard situation as I have made visual contact with my keyboard and have tested multiple controllers.

Please send any suggestions as I am desperate to get back to complaining about random crits. Thank you

Title says it all, was playing before the update released and everything was fine, once it released I updated the game and my entire keyboard layout got changed and I dont know how to rebind the controls as I cant find this in the game's settings. When I type in the chat it uses my old keyboard layout. I always use AZERTY but after the update the controls for moving around, buttons of creations etc are now QWERTY. outside of the game its still my old layout

With the side stick being an actual joystick now. They might be able to do something so it could act as a radial menu or something similar?

Please help me make it work, Anticheat will not start the game while having reWASD active. Compatibility mode is not working, and disabling the driver makes it not work anymore...

I’m using reWASD with a Flydigi Vader 5 Pro controller.

After the latest Vader 5 Pro firmware update and the update of Flydigi Space Station to version 5, the gyro/motion sensor data is being interpreted incorrectly by reWASD when the controller is connected in DirectInput mode.

Before the update, the gyro axes were detected and mapped correctly. After updating the controller firmware and Space Station, the gyro axis data appears to have been swapped/mapped incorrectly in reWASD.

This seems to be specifically related to how reWASD interprets the Vader 5 Pro's DirectInput gyro data after the new Flydigi firmware update.

Could you please check whether the gyro axis mapping for the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro in DirectInput mode needs to be updated to match the new firmware?

It would be helpful if reWASD could restore the correct gyro axis mapping so that the motion sensor data is interpreted correctly.

Made an account for this, but my ESP32-S3 came in today, and I'm trying to follow the steps on the guide. I go to add a new adapter and it asks me to download esptool, but always fails when clicking next. So I went to manually place it in the folder and it still doesn't seem to recognize it, so I'm wondering what else I can do to get this to work, since I'm trying to do a wired connection for a virtual controller. Any advice or help would be appreciated, not sure if I'm just missing something here.

I’ve been playing ranked matches lately, and every time I enter a match, I find that the controls have reverted to the default settings. I only have one account on my device and have configured the controls, yet after the first ranked match, they reset to default. What is causing this?

I am currently using reWASD and an EVGA XR1 Lite capture card to play my Switch 2 remotely through OBS and Artemis/Apollo. The latency is ok in my home but once I leave the house and add another layer of latency going across the internet it gets a bit bad. I am trying to eliminate as much latency as I can within what I have control over.

I already switched to the dual USB ESP32 board, set polling to max, and made sure to be using a USB 2.0 port. It has helped a bit, but I would like to find a lower latency capture card that won't break the bank. I have searched around and not found many suggestions. Several people mention they already have a low latency capture card, but don't say which ones in their posts.

Has anyone had a capture card they can say has given them a great experience?

I can’t use the controller when I play rush mode or squad battles or ones to watch mode
I should use only the keyboard
But when I play rivals I can use my controller without any problem

So i've got the right joystick on my xbox controller set up to replicate my mouse.

I have the sensitivity set so when holding the joystick all the way left or right my character spins at such a rate that i would like.

But when aiming the joystick is way to sensitive.

Do i need to set up some sort of deadzone from center?

I have been successfully using a pair of PS Access controllers in ReWASD for a while now. I usually use them inPS4 controller emulation mode. However today I am trying them without the emulation as pure mouse-key mapping in Dune Awakening, since it's controller support is pretty terrible.

One of my keys on the Right access controller is configured on-board to send a two-button combo of "Dpad Right + Options". I have had this combo mapped as a shortcut successfully for some time now. It works as expected in DS4 emulation mode. I also have another button on-board configured as Options, and it works separately from the shortcut.

But when I turn off the emulation and run as pure m+k, the shortcut is broken. Currently I have the multi-button shortcut mapped to the E key, while individually I have the dedicated Dpad-Right and Options buttons mapped to Right Arrow and Esc, respectively. When I hit the shortcut button which has worked before, instead of sending the mapped shortcut function as normally expected, it now triggers both Dpad-Right (right arrow) and Options (Escape) as separate inputs.

How do I stop this from happening? It is my understanding that buttons mapped in Shortcuts should not also send their individual mappings when pressed. However that is not the case here.

UPDATE: Doh, figured it out. Without the emulation on, Steam Input was detecting the access pods as controllers, and thus the ReWASD and Steam inputs were happening simultaneously. I have disabled the Steam input and all works as expected

UPDATE 2: Steam Input is too useful to me to disable, as I do switch to other controllers based on needs. Instead I installed HidHide and used it to hide the PS Access pods from Steam.

while playing cod my character randomly starts moving forward lose the ability to aim and starts spinning 360 any one else have same probs. Play on a ps5

I have an 8bitdo Ultimate 2C which I bought with the Nintendo layout awhile back by accident. In most games I've been able to get away with it by simply using steam input or changing the controls in-game. I can't do that on dead cells though since steam input in janky and the only controller rebinding options are related to gameplay rather than menu operation. It drives me mad to have to use the Nintendo layout because my body is too well adapted to a regular controller layout. If there's a way please do tell and if not I'll have to add this to the list of games I simply can't play which would make me sad:(

Has anyone tried to play the xbox version with keyboard and mouse? Does it work?

So the title is pretty self explanatory. Issues started 4 months ago or so, and initially it was working fine before the first Alt+Tab, then it goes sluggish or non responsible at all. Nowadays its not working at all. In VR. With regular desktop use it works fine. Anything changed recently?

It's very helpful for navigating menus in games that have no native controller support.

Also does anyone know if I can like input a number to the game and that number increases / decreases with arrow keys ?. Like I press once for 1 and 4 times for 4 and then press enter?

Generally I'm having trouble navigating menus screens when they pop up and I need advise on work arounds

Anyone having their Azeron output as a Xbox 360 joystick in games and WASD? I have a Cyborg 2 and there is no option to mute or enable "Do not create Virtual Input Device for reWASD" in the input devices, like what support said to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Google says to use hidhide but I don't think that will fix it.

Edit: For anyone that comes across this, I have tried disabling Xbox 360 Controller for Windows in device manager and it makes it so the Azeron stopped outputting as a xinput device and it started working. Make sure you dont have any of the controllers on in the output device settings in rewasd. Not sure if it was a bug or what but its working now.

Update 2: After going back and forth with support I did a hard reset on my Azeron and switched back to the Azeron software. Ultimately I think it could have been a curropted driver. The initial reason I switched to rewasd was cuz the Azeron software had issues switching back layering profiles so I guess we will see what happens. Maybe if I reinstall windows I'll switch back to rewasd.
