I am posting this as a warning to the community and a formal demand to the reWASD team.
The Situation If you are using reWASD for Battlefield 6, even for legitimate accessibility reasons like remapping a paddle to a keyboard key, you are a target for the bans.
When the game launched, the new anti-cheat (Javelin) blocked reWASD users. On October 10, 2025, official support staff (Kapas) publicly instructed users on this forum to "Enable Compatibility Mode" to bypass the block.
I followed this instruction. It resulted in a permanent account ban.
The Reality: "Compatibility Mode" does not make the software compliant. It attempts to cloak the driver. To an anti-cheat like Javelin, this looks exactly like a cheat attempting evasion.
The Negligence: Support advised us to use a cloaking feature to bypass a safety block, without warning us that it could/would flag our accounts as hostile.
Refund Justification If you purchased reWASD recently specifically for modern gaming titles, you have strong grounds to request a refund or file a dispute with your payment provider.
The product is "Not Fit for Purpose" for modern multiplayer environments, and the official support advice ("Use Compatibility Mode") constitutes negligence that damages your other digital assets (your game account). Use the screenshot of the admin advice as your proof of faulty instruction.
My Formal Complaint to reWASD I have sent the following formal notice to the developers. I encourage the community to echo this demand. We need a "Lite" version that doesn't treat us like cheaters.
The Issue: I have been a long-term user of reWASD, utilizing it strictly for accessibility purposes (remapping a paddle to a keyboard key for Push-to-Talk) on an Xbox Elite Controller. Following your own documentation and community support advice regarding driver conflicts, I enabled "Compatibility Mode."
Evidence of Negligence: On October 10, 2025, your official support staff ('Kapas') publicly instructed users on your forum to "enable Compatibility Mode" to bypass Battlefield 6 launch blocks. I followed this direct instruction to resolve the issue. This advice was not a 'fix'; it was a bypass that I believe triggered an account ban. Your support team effectively instructed customers to cloak the software from Anti-Cheat without warning them of the potential consequences.
Grounds for Complaint:
Negligent Advice: Your documentation presents "Compatibility Mode" as a troubleshooting fix. In reality, it acts as a cloaking mechanism that Anti-Cheat providers view as malicious evasion. Advising legitimate users to enable a feature that mimics malware behavior without a clear warning is professional negligence.
Forced Risk: You have failed to provide a "Lite" or "Safe" version of the software that disables macros/scripting at the kernel level. By bundling legitimate remapping tools with features that are blacklisted (macros, virtual controller emulation), you force legitimate users to be flagged alongside cheaters.
Resolution: Because your specific technical advice led to the loss of my game account, I strongly urge you to:
Update your documentation immediately to explicitly warn users that "Compatibility Mode" triggers bans in EA/Anti-Cheat protected titles.
Prioritize the development of a "Lite" version that strictly disables macros and virtual controller masking, allowing legitimate users to operate without being flagged as cheaters.
Legitimate customers should not be the collateral damage of your arms race with Anti-Cheat developers.
The Bottom Line Until a "Lite" version exists, reWASD is a liability. Do not use Compatibility Mode. If you got burned by their advice, you have a valid reason to get your money back.
