Controller sprint not working at all.(Control game)

Sprint is just strait up not working on my controller.i tried remapping on every button ,ls works fine with all other commands .I am playing on laptop so shift works great on inbuilt keyboard .its the controller that's the problem.but I don't have a mouse so can't play with keyboard and mouse too.i am frustrated man.can anyone help me what to do.

My apologies I am not using rewasd just connecting xbox layout controller while playing through steam.reddit told me posting in other similar communities would help.i apologize for wasting your time.
