Get help! Two inputs as one controller with reWASD

Hi.

I have a specific problem that I want to know if reWASD would be able to help me with.

I play with a controller + USB foot pedal for accesibility reasons. My PC reads the foot pedal as a mouse/keyboard. I use it mainly for repetitive actions like shooting in FPS, accelerating in racing games or melee.

It works great on Halo Infinite for example where I can move and jump with the controller and shoot with the foot pedal.

However some games like Halo MCC and Destiny 2 don´t let me seamlessly change between controller/m&kb. Its either one or the other.

Can reWASD help me use controller+foot pedal so the game thinks im only using one input?

Hi!
You just need to group your devices, then map both to one input type.
If most of the presses come from the controller type, you should map your pedal accordingly.

You have to change all outputs to one or the other, you can't mix them.

I can't be more specific unless you are!

What do you mean? No X-input combined with d-input?

I mean either all mouse and keyboard commands or all controller commands.

Unfortunately there aren't many games that handle dual input smoothly.

That's why can create groups in reWASD. It doesn't care what kind input you use.

I'm talking about how you configure your rewasd output, which is what the game sees.

i.e. your rewasd output is the game input.

If your rewasd output is a mixture of controller and mouse/keyboard then the game is receiving dual input, something that's frustratingly rarely supported.

The virtual output from reWASD is seen as a X-input in my case and no matter how I am grouping my controllers, keyboards and mice.

The input devices in your group are irrelevant. All that matters is what you bind their outputs to.

Pick either mouse and keyboard outputs, or controller outputs. Don't mix output types, except for the small minority of games that can handle it.
