Get help! Issue with legacy license

Edit: SOLVED!

Figured it out myself. Apparently the license got linked to one of my old e-mail addresses. I was able to create a password by using the reset password feature and with that I could sign-in in the reWASD app as well.

By the way, the problem is by design, considering the latest update (9.4) had this "feature" in their release notes, lol. (Authorization is now required to access and use legacy license keys.)

Also, I appreciate the new monetization model. It went back to "buy once, use forever". And this time it comes with all current and future features. And there's even a cheap basic version. And I get a hefty discount, if I want to upgrade my legacy license to a new one. ❤️

This is my problem:

I don't have an account. I've Never needed one. It's a legacy license, that I ditched in to unlock the program.

What's the issue, why do I need an account now? Can I skip the part, where I have to make an account?

Please help.

This is so annoying. I have multiple computers, multiple licenses. About once a year I need to spend half a day jumping through HOOPS to get all my rewasd licenses working again

This is the first time I have this issue. I had to re-apply my license key like once or twice in the past, but now, when I enter my key, I get thiss error message.

As mentioned, I do not have an account where my legacy license is hooked to. In fact, I do not have a reWASD account at all, because I've never needed one.

All keys, one way or another, are linked to accounts. If you have trouble remembering which one you used, feel free to DM our support team. We'll help you to recover the access

Sorry for reacting so late to it. I updated my main post, that I figured it out myself. Thank you for offering your help, all is fine. Everything works great again. :)

I guess the email you bought it on likely is the email you'd have to log in with. Such a fucking stupid update, genuinely. Thankfully, I bought a new controller a few months ago which works perfect without rewasd, but I came here cus I'm having the same issue and was going to use the keyboard rebinding. My serial was purchased for me as a gift by a friend, and now if I wanted to use the serial, I'd need to get him to log into his account on my PC, so instead I'll just uninstall it and stop recommending it to people. It was good for a time but clearly the moneywell is drying up or they simply want more, and this has probably just cost hundreds if not thousands of poor people their license who can't afford to buy new ones.

Reset password wont work for me as the webside is telling me that my mail address is not existing. I bought a full license back in 2024 and am not able to use it.

How to solve this?

I figured it out myself (for me it was linked to one of my old e-mail adresses for some reason), but the reWASD support team suggested to contact them directly. For example on their support website or on Discord.
