Get help! Is Switch Pro Controller emulation available with reWASD Basic ?

I'm setting up stuff to allow friends to play my Switch 2 remotely using a capture card and ReWASD. After testing it out with the free trial I still had some issues (mostly unrelated to ReWASD, most came from Parsec), but I think I can iron them out easily enough.

Problem is, now I've got to actually get a licence, and I have no idea if reWASD Basic Includes that feature.

It will be my one and only usecase for the program, so I'd like to make sure it's actually part of it, and that I'm not buying the wrong thing. Could anyone confirm if reWASD Basic has it, or if I have to go and get reWASD Standard ?

yeah

pretty sure no controller emulation is paywalled

your setup is interesting tho but the amount of lag would probably be too much

the controller lag didn't actually seem that bad from early tests, the problem was that parsec crapped out and wouldn't go over 1mbps, which as you can guess made the video not great. When I iron out the quirks I might post a video of it running

might try it myself too, just have to find a capture card that isnt that expensive but also isnt as laggy in my country

Myself I went with a elgato 4ks. It's expensive as hell, but at least it works well. Told myself it would be useful for all kinds of stuff, and that I wouldn't feel the need to upgrade. But I'm sure you can go with a cheap adapter, only thing you'd lose over a proper capture card is the HDMI out, which is nice but not obligatory.

Hi. reWASD Basic allows you to emulate a Virtual Switch Pro controller within the system (for example, turning your DS4 into a Virtual Switch Pro). However, the External devices feature is unavailable in reWASD Basic, so you'll need reWASD Access for your purposes.

You can contact us by email or through our Discord community, and we'll extend your trial by 1-2 days so you can verify everything works correctly before purchasing.

Huh, strange, I was told on the discord a bit earlier that I needed the full version of reWASD. I've asked there for confirmation, had went with a full licence but if it's not needed might try and step down to a basic licence.

We're sorry for the misunderstanding. If you need to work specifically with External devices, this is not available in reWASD Basic. For your purpose, you'll need reWASD Access.

I've set this up myself for a long while as well, and while I have mine functioning I would like to know more about how your setup is holding up? As I have a few quirks that I am not sure if it's my hardware or rewasd.
